Hi, friends. I apologize for my lack of visiting lately. I miss chatting with you all on a daily basis. I do hope everyone is doing well.
I'm flat exhausted at the moment. I just returned from Michigan, and I don't want to travel again for a while, LOL. I drove to Kansas before to meet my mother half way to give her Jackson for a few weeks. So, I'll be bored in a week without him, I'm sure. But all that means is I will have to drive BACK to Kansas in three weeks to fetch him. I'm looking forward to that. And my pocketbook is too...all that gas. For my gas guzzling SUV. Sigh.
Anywho, I hope you all are doing great. I hope to stop in more regularly again.
Hi Jojo!! You have been missed too. I've thought of you many times, wondered how things are going. I think the last time we chatted, you had just come out of a traumatic time with Jackson. I'm happy he's fine now and enjoying a change of scene with your mom.
Where in Kansas? My husband grew up in Wichita, so I've spent plenty of holidays in that neck of the woods. His family was originally from Gerard and Columbus, so we'd been down that way as well a few times. I'll never forget that drive from Kansas City to Wichita on Interstate 35 - miles and miles of nothin' but miles and miles! Which route are you planning to take?
Thanks! It's been going well, and now I'm just lonely. LOL. It's quiet without Jack.
We met my mom in Salina Kansas, which is just north of Wichita on the interstate. It's a long drive, and it was a scary one last week as I was trying fast and furiously to get out of the state past the tornadoes. And you're right...it's miles and miles of nothing, LOL! I drove into Colorado, took the loop around Denver and hit I-70 east towards Salina. Not a fun drive.
Tina, I didn't come near Joliet, I don't think. I flew into Detroit, and then we drove to Bay City to pick up a friend, and then to Ann Arbor where we stayed near the track.
The weather wasn't too terrible on the trip. It rained a bit, but not too much. The rain came right as the race was ending, which was a relief!
Jojo I agree with everyone in saying that you have been missed. As have Sophia and Kris. I hope that you have a nice quiet couple of weeks though I know you will miss Jackson terribly.
We plan on driving from here to Phx in a few weeks. I think we will end up staying in Illinois on our first night but I am not sure where.
