I watched a little bit of the Emmys, Bran. It looked like GH won tons of awards, Jeanie Cooper, (the venerable Kay Chancellor, Y&R) for best actress, and then more GH. Oh well.

For writing, OLTL - ???

You must be right - rigged AND insane!

Jim and I watched the Emmys all the way through, and actually enjoyed them.

I think that I have a more cynical take on the OLTL Emmy, however. It isn't that they're rigged, it's a sad recognition of the fact that the writing on ALL of the soaps are worse than the writing on OLTL!!! I actually sat here and predicted that it would win. And, notice that AMC was up for very little...

La Lucci looked gorgeous in the flowing teal gown, and Barbara Walters looked great too. I also thought that the opening sketch with Cameron Mathison and Sherri Shepherd were hysterical.

All in all, Jim and I thought that the Emmys were far better than the Academy Awards, which tend to drone on and on... The Emmys moved along at a very nice clip, and everyone looked very glamorous.

Cameron Matheson probably has a nice long career ahead of him as an emcee. He did a great job, non?

Ted was all into an episode of Numb3rs, so I cold only flip to the Emmys at commercial and missed much of it. It did seem to have a good pace though.
