STRONG clue that you may have dialed the wrong number!

I've been busy tonight, so I asked Jim to reschedule a visit from Verizon/FIOS (we're thinking of changing from Cox Cable to FIOS). I gave him the phone number, instructions to say "agent" as soon as possible to avoid all the nonsense, and our order number.

I was in the kitchen stirring stuff, when Jim started laughing. Here's what happened:

*He dialed the number I provided. (He thought...)

*He listened to the opening yada-yada, and said "agent". It didn't work, but he got another prompt which didn't totally process in his brain until he pushed the correct number. The prompt was:

"Press 1 if you're a man. Press 2 if you're a woman."

He pressed 1, not fully realizing that Verizon might not ask this question!

The next message was:

"Welcome to Mature Encounters..."

That's when I heard the laughing!

LOL! I'm sure Jim was looking for a mature encounter with an adult with the cable company, just not THAT kind of "mature encounter."

Good idea! Unfortunately, we don't know which of the numbers he misdialed...!!! If anyone is game, mess up one number in this series:

1-888-553-1555.

If you get the option for "push 1 if you're a man; push 2 if you're a woman", write down the number you dialed so we can all have a laugh.
