I just took these a few minutes ago from my front and back porches. Tina asked to see where we all live, so, obliging soul that I am, lol....
You've heard me gripe about the morons across the street and their year long construction project, so there is the picture of their house, vastly cleaned up within the last 36 hours. At least the port-a-potty is gone now, as it that gigantic orange bin.
I love my trees, but they create so much shade that grass won't grow at the very back. We've tried, lol.
The one back yard neighbour's house you can see in one shot belongs to the people we call the UFO's because they have flashing tube lights all around their 70's style deck, drives us a little nuts. These are the people that play polka and Kenny G music really loud on Sunday afternoons.
The people next door with the wooden play house are thankfully away for a month. Usually, they have a pile of mangy brats crawling all over that play house staring down into our yard. They also taunt my doggies with sticks through the hedge and their garden hose. Lovely people.
On the other side, and all you can see is the roof of their detached garage, are really wonderful kids with a two year old, but we seldom see them. That probably accounts for why we are so fond of them.
Tina, I'd love to have a perennial garden again, but Chloe killed every last flower chasing after that demon spawn chipmunk, so I've resorted to only pots of annuals now.
The main reason we bought this house is because of the lot and the trees everywhere. They're messy things, but we love them. I can tell ya', I sure know why we have a maple leaf on our flag - they grow so furiously here, they are everywhere. We have 4 just on our property and I pull up seedlings every day. Sheesh.
