Here we are on another beautiful summer morning, about to launch into the second last long weekend of our summer, and all of us hell bent on cramming as much enjoyment of the warm weather as possible before the cold and drear take over again. Around these parts, this coming Monday is known as Simcoe Day, after some fellow that founded the city of York, now known as Toronto. Whatever we call it, it's just an excuse to have an extra day off, lol.
I leave in a couple of hours for the Friday routine, lunch with a friend, then off to pick up salmon and fresh veggies for dinner. Ted will be home really early this afternoon, so we'll likely potter around outside for a while.
My son, Tony, the one with the kids, is leaving at 3:30 a.m. tomorrow for the trek to Wisconsin, his wife's family cottage on Elkhart Lake. They'll sleep overnight in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, head down to Sheboygan the next morning. Shelly, they'll probably pass right by your in-laws! Nick is going camping up in the Grand Bend area on Lake Huron, some concert up there, and Mike is participating in a music festival on one of the Toronto Islands. We'll all get together on Monday evening for dinner.
