regarding The Wake

I wouldn't normally share the details of going to a wake, but I can't believe I left our cousin's wake last night feeling better than when I went in

Her husband Lee (Butchie) was so comforting to me, and I was trying to comfort him!

He said don't cry, he told Linda to just let go. The last week was too hard on her. He said they kept their sense of humour until the end.

And their son Mark, was so strong through it all.

Amazing people!

I am praying the next few months will be ok for them! They'll be back home, not sitting by her bedside all day, looking at all her stuff.

(she loved to take pics, that is how we became so close, talking about photography)

Some people just amaze me that way. I mean I do agree that your cousin is definitely in a better place, she is no longer in the kind of pain she was in during her therapy. Who knows maybe she is even with another loved one. I remember after my grandmother died I told my uncle that I don't know how people who don't believe in heaven or God can handle the death of a loved one. It helps to know that they are no longer in pain.

Tina, I'm glad the wake was comforting for you. And please, accept my sympathies for you and your family in your loss of Linda.
