Michael's miserable as he's to read Victor's will today and NOT looking forward to it.
Adam's flying in a special dinner from a famous Brussels restaurant and a rare champagne for dinner tonight - his present for Heather. She's excited, but so extravagant.
Kay growls that for Jill to launch a libel suit against RS, she'd have to prove that the statements made were false, which she can't do. Yelling ensues.
Jack talks to Ashley about Victor's death, will call her back when he learns of the memorial service. Since Ashley's in Europe and can't attend the will reading, will he please sit in for Abby. Sharon asks Jack not to cause any more trouble with Nick today. He accuses her of siding with Nick again.
Victoria and Nick are beginning to accept that their father may well be dead after all. JT, Nick, Victoria and Phyllis are all concerned that Adam will ruin NE.
Michael Jana, Lauren and Kevin have a few laughs as the newlyweds are back from their honeymoon. They have no idea about Victor. What??!! Shocked! Jana refers to the Ouija board's prediction, lol.
Jill barks at Esther because the preparations for the wedding reception aren't ready yet, and the party is tonight. Meanwhile, Chloe has a really upset stomach, bad headache, Cane dotes cautiously, calls the doctor who can see her right away.
Phyllis and Nick arrive at the ranch, see Adam and Heather. Phyllis is funny here, ordering Heather to go get her some ice tea, lol. Nick says that if Adam inherits everything, that will include the tack house too. They'll need to move.
Michael leaves for the will reading. Lauren comments that her husband is really torn up about losing Victor, kind of like the father he never had. She's going to call River, talk to him.
Nick's astounded to see Jack and Sharon arrive for the will reading and the two guys start a snipe fest, ladies stop them. Michael arrives, "lets get started since we're all here". Adam is smug.
Esther's fussing for the reception, wearing that awful uniform, lol.
Can catches on that Chloe is faking feeling ill, accuses her of trying to get out of the party. (Huh?)
Lauren learns that River disappeared from the Ashram the day after Kevin and Jana left.
Cane and Chloe arrive at the Chancellor's for the party. In comes Esther, drops the tray of glasses and yells "Kate" when she sees Chloe. Chloe doesn't look very surprised at all. (This must be the confrontation that Chloe was trying to avoid when she wanted the reception at the Colonnade Room rather than at the Chancellor's.)
Lots of glum faces as the Newman kids leave the ranch. Adam takes over, will be packing up all of Victor's stuff and giving it to Goodwill. Nice shots from Nick and Victoria to Adam.
A bit of comic relief as Jana and Kevin burn the Ouija board.
Nikki is on the beach in Mexico, calling out for Victor, A man approaches her, camera pans upwards - it is Victor, stony-faced, looking down at Nikki who has collapsed under the heat of the sun, but is conscious. She calls out, Victor? Victor?

Esther had a relationship with a man named Tiny, a plumber, I think. She became pregnant and had a daughter, Kate. The little girl was referred to off and on, then was sent to that boarding school far away, just like all the other kids around GC.
Kate is Chloe, Esther's daughter. And I think Chloe/Kate knew all along that her mother was the housekeeper for the Chancellor's, hence marrying Cane was a bit of a coupe for her. A spoiler I read said that Kate changed her name to Chloe a while back to conceal her real identity when she decided to move to GC.
One of the mods at SOC just posted a bunch of other spoilers for the upcoming weeks. Sounds like Victor's attack on Adam was done prematurely as Victor acted before he'd heard Adam's side of the story. Neil is summoned to see Victor who is refusing to see anyone else, feels like a shell of a man now that his beloved Sabrina is gone and his children have all betrayed him.
Wow, I don't know how I missed these spoilers but they sound good. As much as I hate that Chloe/Kate broke up Cane and Lily I do have to say that this is more entertaining then that boring couple
