My new furniture (reupholstered) arrived today and I want to take a few pictures of it. Problem: Nick has a bunch of video footage on my camera. Still photos, I know what to do, pas de problemo, video is another story. I have no idea and all my in-house tech advisers are away. Husband is no help at all.
What do I do with Nick's videos so I can use my camera and not lose his stuff? (With apologies if this sounds like a really stupid question.)
That camera should have some sort of media card that it stores the data to and you should be able to download the data to your PC. Do you have more info on the camera model and brand?

Bran I just got home from 4 hours of baby sitting, cooking kids' dinner, feeding them, bathing them and cleaning up a horrendous mess and am a complete wreck, can't even move hardly. My camera is across the room. I'll look at it tomorrow after I'm done chauffeuring my mother around town and jarring the last batch of that *&^%$## chutney. Thanks so much. I'll get back to you. Life saver Brandon.
Okay - I can move this morning, lol. It's a Canon Power Shot SD 1000 Digital ELPH 7.1 mega pixels. It did come with a memory card, have no idea where it is - kids set it up for me Christmas Day when Santa left it for me. I assume it's inside the camera.
And Thanks, Moore. If Bran can talk me through (what is probably a very simple procedure - to him, not me, lol) I'll post a pic of my new furniture.
Normally there's two ways you can move the data to your PC. It's either done by taking the memory card out of the camera and then putting into a memory card reader on your PC, or there's a cable that has an end that looks similar to the T-Mobile phone chargers. Basically one in goes into the PC, the other into the USB slot on your PC/Mac.

Thank you for the Greek lesson, Bran :) I'll be back in an hour or so for a little while and see if I can figure it out from your helpful instructions. Thanks!! The videos on there are the last ones of little doggie who passed, so multo important I keep them for Nick.
