Thoughts on baby

I just realized that this baby will be born around the same time that this board was. Crazy huh. Oh, and we decided if its a boy we are going with Gregory Dean. Gregory is the middle name of one of Vinnie's brothers who died of AIDS in the 90's and Dean is my uncle who was killed in a car crash when I was about 15.

I was always partial to Brandon for a boy. LOL.

Gregory Dean actually wouldn't be too bad. I debate the naming of your kids after people sometimes though. Mostly because my nephew is Earl Townsend the IV. Yeah, it's a lameass tradition and all the other Earls sucked. LOL. When we were having Aundrea, Patricia and I talked about using her middle name for something but decided against it. I guess we wanted her to have her own personality or something.

Gregory is a wonderful name, Shelly. It's solid and not overly popular at the moment. Nothing worse than having 6 little kids in a classroom with the same first name! Moore has a funny story about that!!!

May the fourth be with you for baby. That's the date of birth of my youngest. It's a great time of year for newborns - good weather coming, so no snowsuits pulled on little legs or drool on woolly car seat covers. Excellent planning, lol.

Yeah, I guess we figured that since we picked Jolene out of nowhere essentially we would have a family name this time around. Though if we have girl she will likely have an out of thin air name as well.

Yeah Kae that was another thing. I wanted to use James because Vinnie seriously idolizes his father, but Vinnie didn't want anything common. I mean Jolene isn't a weird name but it is far from common. I have actually yet to meet one this generation.

May will be nice because my birthday is the 30th of April, my FIL's is the 6th of May and my moms is the 28th of May. He/she will be 1 of lots of May birthdays

Shelly, just as a cautionary note, run baby's name through an anagram generator to make sure it doesn't scramble into something unfortunate, like Melissa into aimless. I'll attach a link for you.

Internet Anagram Server

Gregory Dean = Greedy Organ ??!! Then again, most people wouldn't let that bother them.

haha, thats amusing though. The biggest thing my sister thought of was that his first two initials would be GD. And in religious land thats not good, but I reminded her that his initials would more often be displayed as GK

I did Jolene Marie and a lot came up. I did Shelly Rene and hardly nothing came up

Naming a baby is HARD!! You can't predict what's going to be overly popular, or totally nerdy by the time that child is school age. Also, nicknames need to be considered.

Gregory is a really pretty name, and I must say that I don't hear Dean every day anymore...

Yep, I have quite a story about A-D's name, but since we have so many unidentified lurkers around here lately, I think that I'm going to have to keep that one private for now.

Shelly my hubby is banning me from t his board if I talk about babies anymore lol. I don't necessarily want another .. I wouldn't mind adopting lol. I just really want my little girl named Eden ..

Ok my dork moment is over. Gregory is a nice name. Aiden got his midldle name from my grandpa. I still wish he could have made it another 2 months to see his grandson but what can ya do?

Bethany's name is a play on a name or two lol. Hubby wanted to name her Betty or Elizabeth .. eeek! His mom's name was Betty .. he loves Betty Page too but lol I wasn't naming my daughter Betty. I had always loved the name Bethany so I suggested it and he was happy. To further please him I said would could name her Bethany Paige .. and that's that lol.

I toyed with the name Joselyn for her as well. Glad I chose Bethany she doesn't fit the name Joselyn lol.

I also love the little girl name Kendallyn

So, another thought. So far in this pregnancy I am feeling pretty good. Little to no nausea, still waiting for that to hit me like a truck. Just took my first actual prenatal vitamin so we will see how well that sits.

But my stomach has this weird feeling in it, its almost like how it feels when you suck your stomach in too long. You know that weird muscle feeling. I can't explain it, but I have also never had the feeling last as long as this has. Its odd. Not cramps, its almost like an empty stomach feeling even though I just ate.

I remember having the brief feeling, early on, that I'd swallowed a rock. LOL... I guess it was my awareness of the changing uterus, as it began to go to work. It didn't last long, though...

Again, each pregnancy is different, so you may feel different this time than you did the first.

When you think about it, your body is in the process of harbouring a new life as well as doubling your blood supply, so weird feelings are bound to happen!! Have you seen the OB yet?

I suppose it is true about feeling different. I see the OB next Wednesday. I guess they want to wait until I am between 7-9 weeks

Great name choice, Shelly!

I've decided that if I were ever to have another child (and that's like a NEVER), and it were a girl, I'd name her Grace Jacqueline. Jacqueline is my grandmothers name, and I just love the name Grace.
