Michael is going over his files for his father's case, 4 decades worth and he finds one potential witness, a Howie Sullivan, "Kite".
Gloria tells Jeff she is really close to getting that 5% from Kay - her senior moments will help her. Jeff nails Gloria on her "concern" for Michael - it's really about that creepy flower child she used to sleep with. He's really pissed off, storms out.
Nikki and Kay over coffee discuss how betrayed Nick and Victoria feel by Victor, and along comes Heather to ask Nikki about her ex husband's involvement with "this man", hands her a picture of dead Walter.
Karen brings Victoria figures on the B of N line - not good ones. She has to run an errand, gives Karen baby Reed to hold for a few minutes. Karen's awkward with him.
Devon reads a letter from Ana, says she hates school. Neil tells him to set her straight.
Nikki denies having ever seen Walter Palin before, Heather says she has met him here at GCAC. Heather warns her not to protect Victor unless she'd like to be charged with accessory to murder after the fact.
Mike is furious that his father gave a reporter an interview that was printed up in a leftist magazine. Lauren tries to settle him down, knock at the door - Gloria, there to offer her services. Mike plops a fat file in front of her, says look in here for a reference to Howard Sullivan. (Gloria is fixated on keeping Lowell out of prison.)
Devon calls Tyra for background on Ana. Neil asks Lily if she's had any hits on the dating service, warns her the internet is full of nut jobs, she says she learned that the hard way. No answer on Tyra's phone so Devon calls the school for Ana.
Victoria and Karen discuss babies - Karen is ambivalent to having one of her own.
Mike goes to see Lowell, yells at him for that article, tells him to grow up!
Heather tells Nikki that the Mexican police have theory that Victor killed Walter, dumped his body overboard. Kay watches with concern as she sees Nikki grab Heather's arm and tell her to leave her family alone. Heather had just told Nikki that she'd go see Vitoria and Nicholas, see if they'd be more cooperative in locating Victor.
Filler stuff with Lauren and Gloria, all about Lowell and his bad choices, how one bad one can haunt you for the rest of your life. Then more filler with Mike and Lowell as Mike warns his father to wise up, the hippie stuff has been over for 40 years. Ack. Lowell professes his innocence yet again. Howie calls Mike - they will meet at the GCAC.
Whoa, Nikki implies to Heather that her attitude towards Victor and her family has to do with Adam, tells her to go to hell, and the whole GCAC dining room hears it.
Nikki lets on to Kay that she knows something about Victor she can't even tell her kids. In comes Michael, Niki buttonholes him, begs him to tell Victor he maybe in serious legal trouble, but Mike has that meeting with Howard and he has to brush her urgency aside for now. In comes Howard Sullivan, greets Mike who he recognised from his picture.
Jeff visits Lowell to infuse a little cold hard truth into his world, how he (Lowell) is ripping the Baldwins apart with his drama.
Karen tells Victoria about losing her mother and how she vowed never to have kids of her own. (Gah! This is all about Tyra's return. Gah!) She says she could get the same disease that killed her mother, afraid she'd pass along that gene if she had kids of her own.
Devon couldn't get through to Ana - against school policy. They told him to call her mother.
(What a slow episode today. It doesn't help that as much as I like the actors involved, I sure don't like these s/l's.)
Mike and Howard - he was an informant for the FBI, scared kid, took the deal they made him. Howard says Lowell was not responsible for killing the janitor. No way would he have replaced a confetti bomb (spews out bits of paper) with a real one. He went to the bank to stop the real bomb going off but he was too late. Too bad Howard can't give him any evidence to corroborate his story.
Jeff riles Lowell when he calls Eden the brat he dumped on Michael, pushes the table away in a display of temper.
Kay informs Neil that she has received a rebate for Ana's tuition - she's no longer a student at that school. Neils' upset!
Heather asks Victoria what she knows about this man (Walter) and her father.
I don't understand how Heather can be investigating this. I mean isn't Mexico a little bit out of her jurisdiction?
She explained to Nikki that the FBI and the Mexican equivalent have a mutual agreement to help one another out. Nikki had the same objection as you did, Shelly. Heather was smug as can be with that little gem.
Gloria hands Michael a piece of paper, "Is that what you were looking for?" Yep, the document proves what Howard told him is true and this could save Lowell from prison.
Lowell makes a secret call to someone - things have gotten out of hand. Get him out of there tonight.
Neil learns that Tyra and Ana have cleared out of their NH dwelling and the school.
Heather threatens Victoria - tell your mother she'd better cooperate with the Mexican authorities. Nikki tries to leave Victor a warning message but his phone has been disconnected. She's in agony over her big secret, tells Kay that she CAN'T tell her kids about it.
