Adam is in Heather's office waiting for the FBI to come interview him about the diary. She tells him that they are going to ask him about Jack Abbott's role in all of it.
Jack gives Esther his condolences, asks her to pass them along to Jill and Cane. As he is leaving the Chancellor's, Phyllis arrives with food for the family. Jack buttonholes her on the doorstep and asks if she knew that Nick was with Sharon in Paris. She doesn't answer, says she needs to go spend some time with Esther and pushes past him. Jack is peeved.
Paris. Ashley tells Victor she has to get back to the hotel to pack and get back to Katherine's funeral. He wants her to stay with him, move Abby in with them, but no, she has commitments and Abby is ensconced in a school in London. He doesn't want to lose her. (Hey, Victor, ever heard of rebound and comfort sex? Gah! He's acting like he's in love again.)
Neil and Karen talk about Katherine's passing. It prompts Neil to propose marriage to her again. She hedges, says she's afraid of marrying him, of leaving him, as in dying. He presses her, life is too short. In walk Ana and Tyra. Oh, and Gil's there too. He kisses Tyra goodbye as he heads back to work.
Amber grieves for her only friend, Daniel tries to comfort her and get her up out of bed.
Jill is snippy with Nikki when Nikki tries to recommend a poem for Kay's service, says she is better judge of what would be appropriate for her mother's service. (Jill really is bitchy, isn't she? Ugh.)
Adam denies that he was working with Jack on the diary as heather pushes him for details. Adam sticks to his story that all Jack did was introduce him to the publisher. Enter the FBI, Heather leaves them.
Amber decides that the best way to honour her friend and make her proud would be to follow through with her book. Katherine gave her all the information and the publisher's names, so she jumps up and heads out to begin the process.
Again Jill pushes Nikki away when she attempts to help with the funeral arrangements.
Argh. Open casket of the dead lady. Nikki graciously apologises to Jill for having butted in earlier and leaves Jill with the body.
Phyllis goes home to find Jack sitting in her living room. He harps on Nick and Sharon, tells her about the hug he saw and if he's picked on the connection between Nick and Sharon, he's sure she has too. Phyllis just gapes at him. Jack is quite pissed off by now. Phyllis only says that she trusts her husband.
Ashley again tries to convince Victor to go back and clear his name. She tells him that she HAS changed but the one thing that hasn't is her love for him, that she has always loved him. She says she's going home to GC and if he doesn't choose to go with her, then it's au revoir. He tells her she is beautiful and walks off.
Neil and Karen are with Tyra at a table at Indigo. He warns her to go slowly with Gil.
Adam tells the FBI guys that Jack didn't know the precise contents of the diary and he agrees to sign an affidavit confirming this. FBI men leave. Adam is relieved!
Jill talks to the dead lady, says she wishes she could do it all over again so differently, is so ashamed of herself for not being a good enough daughter that she could come to her about the drinking. JW's mascara is all over her face! "I love you Katherine" and she leans down to kiss her.
Daniel shows Amber his just finished sketch of Katherine. Lovely! She then calls the publisher for Kay's book.
Karen disagrees with Neils' over-protective attitude towards Tyra.
Phyllis lashes out at Jack for bringing this trash talk into her house, tells him to get out.
As Jack leaves Phyllis, Adam calls him. He just saw Frank Ellis (the forgery guy) being led down the corridor of the courthouse in handcuffs. This could be bad news for them. Meet him at CL in 15 minutes!!
Inside, Phyllis picks up that little ceramic trinket (the 3 monkeys) that she and Nick gave to one another when they first had their affair and tosses it across the room.
Heather shows Paul her engagement ring and tells him her good news. He's really happy for her.
Jack learns that Frank was arrested for cheque kiting, so he and Adam are good for now. Adam asks Jack what's going on with his wife talking to his fiancee. Jack assures him he doesn't need to worry about Sharon.
Noah, Sharon and Nick arrive at the Abbott's. Nick has to go home now but the three of them will sit down and talk about his stunts in Paris later. Nick and Sharon hug goodbye. She thanks him again fr showing her around PAris.
Back at the tack house, Phyllis has a complete meltdown as Jack's words ring in her head and she comes to realise that there is indeed something between her husband and Sharon. As she screams "No, no" she tosses furniture around, covers her mouth. She's horrified, hurt and devastated.
Nikki talks to dead lady, says she was like the mother that she never had. Lots of tears. Sad.
Karen agrees to marry Neil! He's all happy. Cute. Kiss.
More Paul and Heather, nice father/daughter scene as he hugs her in congratulations. Enter Adam and they kiss. Paul looks through the window of her office door as he leaves, keeping an eye on those two.
Tension is thick as Jack comes home to Sharon.
Nick calls out for Phyllis to answer their door as he fumbles for his keys. And then, OMG, this is a huge surprise!! Phyllis asks him if he had fun in Paris. He says forget Paris, he's just glad to be home and she gives him a huge passionate kiss. (She had changed her clothes too. When Jack was there, she had on a conservative plaid dress. Now she's wearing a little black cocktail number. So she had obviously given this some thought!!)
Jill is furious when Amber tells her about calling the publisher for Katherine's book. Jill demands she UN make the deal she made and she (Jill) must have every bit of the book's drafts in her hands immediately, it is HERS now. Then she throws Amber and Daniel out of the house. Poor Amber!
More sad stuff as Nikki says goodbye to Katherine. She says that Victor was right, that she did cause so much pain to so many, and now ahe'll never see either KAtherine or Victor again.
Paris. Ashley finishes packing and leaves her suite. Victor is at her door. "Please tell me you are coming back to GC with me." He raises his eyebrows.

Phyllis to Nick something about "not doubting their commitment to one another, right?". Nick just looks at her, says nothing.
JT, Nikki and Victoria see Ashley walk into GCAC, stunned looks all around, as in "what does she know about Victor?"
Jack answers his door. It's Agent Dillon of the FBI.
Shelly, I'm getting the impression that this is going to be just like what happened when everyone thought that Victor had died in Mexico and Adam ran roughshod all over the family. Victor came back and booted him out. Katherine's not really dead, and when she finally does come back and learns what Jill did, she'll make things right for Amber and the book. Every time Jill behaves in that overbearing obnoxious way that she has been is another nail in HER coffin, so to speak. The vilification of Jill really has been a little heavy-handed. There HAS to be a point to it.
And I want Amber to win too. She looks adorable today, btw. She had been crying so she had on no makeup and was wearing simple clothes. She and Daniel are becoming a real favourite couple for me.
So, what do you make of Phyllis's reaction when Nick came home? I was really surpirsed by that!
I am partly surprised by Phyllis. But I think that at this point she kind of thinks that the best way to keep Nick is by using her body. I mean lately that is the only time when things have been really good for them is when they were in bed.
And I am loving Amber too...I hope you are right about her winning in the end. Part of me wishes that Kay left something to her in a will.
In a way, Phyllis is being quite clever in not confronting Nick about Sharon. She knows there's a problem and is playing her cards in a way she knows has been successful before. I thought it was interesting how she spoke to Jack today. He was looking to her for confirmation of his worst fears regarding Sharon and Nick and she threw him out! Then she went on a rampage of anger and hurt, pulled herself together and greeted Nick with a big kiss. Interesting tactic. I wonder if it'll work in the long run.
I am sure it won't work because we have already guessed that Sharon and Nick is where the writer wants this to end. And I don't mind that as long as Phyllis isn't once again the bad guy. I haven't ventured over to SOC's page in awhile. Though they have too many Phyllis bashers for me
