Meanwhile, in Jessica's conscience, Tess begs Bess to let her out to make sure the baby is okay. With reservations, Bess decides to allow Tess to return. With Tess briefly in control once more, Jessica retreats further into her mind, where she meets Bess for the first time. Meanwhile, Tess forges a deal with Viki, which allows her to see the baby. However, Tess quickly becomes hysterical and claims it is not the baby she gave birth to. Afterward, Jessica returns and shares some terrifying news with Viki. Charlie takes Roxy's advice. Jessica and Viki dismiss Tess' claims about the baby. Viki is grateful to have Charlie to lean on. Jessica understands she needs professional help.

Furthermore, Blair is absolutely disgusted to learn that Todd and Marty slept together and that he planned to raise Starr's baby. Meanwhile, Cole is floored to see a clueless Marty at the hosptial. Nora advises Cole against seeking his own justice against Todd. Badly roughed up, Todd contemplates what might have been with Marty. Nora is petrified to learn that Marty and Todd had unprotected sex. Cole confronts Todd over his latest actions, and informs him that Starr's baby passed away. Afterward, Blair lashes out at Todd. Meanwhile, Marty ingests the "morning after" pill to make absolutely certain that there will be no lasting ramifications of her one night stand with Todd. Marty marches off as Todd proclaims his love for her. Starr learns of her daddy's plan for her baby. Langston comforts Starr as Michael comforts Marcie. Cole uses old family photos in an attempt to help Marty jog her memory. Blair declares that her feud with Marty is a thing of the past. John is tired of playing by Mayor Lowell's rules and resigns from the LPD. Bo is dismayed by John's decision. Dorian questions what Marty's return will mean for John and Blair's relationship. I've been watching the last couple of weeks since getting this stupid flu. But you know how much I can't stand TSJ and his version of Todd, so rather than tick off our Bran who likes the actor, I tend not to have much to say about OLTL. It's just a bad habit, I'm afraid. I don't enjoy OL much at all.
I was wondering earlier today if there was a soap that all of us watched but I don't think there is. I bet we would be able to talk soaps more if all of us watched the same show...

Oh you don't ticket me off by saying you don't like TSJ. It's all right. Say your peace my lady. I just blame most of this situation on the bad writing that appears to have corrupted the vast populace of soap writers. But as incestuous as this group is (aka they've written together, written for the same show a whole lot or for the same network, etc) it doesn't surprise me. Soaps are in need of an entire overhaul. From new actors, new producers, new writers, new ideas, etc. I just blame the bad TSJ stuff on that.

I started watching AMC and OLTL so long ago and more recently Y&R so I can compare them but not the rest, and Y&R is, IMHO, heads and shoulders above ABC's two stinkers. (I used to watch GH long ago but not at all now.) The writing sometimes flounders a little on Y&R but not to the idiotic extent OL's has, and in particular the Marty and Todd nonsense. At ABC, there always seems to be an agenda behind the scenes where a particular actor is favoured, and therefore gets prime exposure (Bree Williamson, Michael Easton, TSJ) at the expense of other actors whose presence on the screen gives continuity and content to the soap. Y&R doesn't tend to do that so much.
But these are really OLD arguments, non?
BTW, on my time shift channels, I also get Days a day ahead, and although I have never watched it. Do you guys ever? I see that you do post about it from time to time.
Bran, I think it's very generous of you to attribute TSJ's version of Todd to bad writing. Bad casting, maybe? (Here I go with the Flynn business again, lol.) Honestly, I wish felt like talking about OLTL, but my comments would almost always be negative, and who needs that? Sometimes I'll scan over at the SOC OL board and click it off straightaway. It kind of gives me the heaves. I'd be more inclined to discuss the inanities of posts I see over there than the soap itself, and that's not good!
Ah yeah I know what you mean Kae. Even with this return of Tea, whom was among one of my many soap opera crushes, I don't see me watching this show. The only thing that makes this good is the following were to occur:
1. Todd decides he wants to commit suicide after realizing what a jackass he's been and we have some neat-o intervention and Todd decides to straighten things out with a trip to the whack house after Tea manages to suddenly appear on the scene and be by his side.
2. Same thing occurs, only Tea doesn't show up and is instead shown getting a car and asking "Are you sure you're ready to do this?" And the screen flips, there's real Todd sitting next to her and he says "Let's go."

I try to watch it, but now that they fired John and Marlena I don't know what will keep me interested. Days is a show that is seriously known for its super couples. And they fired John and Marlena, Patch and Kayla have been nothing but a sounding board for their daughter for awhile. And Bo and Hope aren't what they use to be either. I am not happy about this. I think that firing Marlena is almost like firing Susan Lucci.
And GH is good, but it is at its best during sweeps. So if you tune in twice a year you will get the writer at his best. Right now they have this HUGE mob war and as much as I get tired of the mob stuff it does make for good action. So it is good tv.

LOL!!! If you were to post this "elsewhere". I can just imagine the cannons being loaded, lol. IF RH ever came back, even for a the wee-est bit, I'd be back with bells on. I forgot about Tea coming back. I liked her too, thought she brought out a interesting side of Todd, that is the "real" one.
After RH left and TSJ took over as the other half of Todd and Blair, the one thing that drove me nuts more than anything else was their very obvious age difference. If it had been addressed, I'd have been happy to ignore it, bit it never was. I just thought that the two of them looked mismatched.
Thing is, with TSJ, IMHO, his character was completely wrecked during his infatuation with the worst lawyer on earth. And I didn't really dislike her all that much back then, but the fans that went ballistic over the Jo-wars DID ruin it all for me. Maybe if I hadn't been online during that nonsense I'd have had a different reaction.
