(While I'm waiting for Newfoundland to finish up their road reports), I think that today is the face cream arrest day. I so want this darn thing over and done with. Okay, here we go!
Mike learns that the judge vacated the charges against Lowell, he is a free man. Hugs, hugs, and all thanks to Gloria, she made it happen. Hugs, hugs and tears. Glo's phone rings, it's Jeff from the hospital. He tells her he had a bad reaction to Thai food last night. She's on her way. Sly grin from Jeff.
Adam takes coffee and snack to Heather in CL on the patio. AS he thinks back to Victor's threat, he says let's get married today or tomorrow, let's go to city hall, then just take off. She's too swamped right now, can't, just can't. Just a couple more days, okay? He agrees.
Jack has breakfast with Ashley at GCAC, chat about Jabot marketing. She calls him a consummate liar, mentions the diary.
Victor meets with Paul who agrees to take the job of proving Adam and Jack worked together on the diary scam. Paul censures Victor for his shabby treatment of Nikki, says he has been blaming the wrong person. Victor mumbles something.
Lauren and Paul speculate that at least Jeff didn't go to the police with the face cream, gloat about how Mike now has a really big real family. Cute scene. Lauren picks up the letter Eden opened yesterday, shows Mike the tax assessment for $23,000. Yow.
Paul stops by Heather's table at CL, tells her about a case he's taking on, but he's really there more as her father, and try to believe he DOES have her best interests at heart. Jack pops by, offers his help on the Victor Newman case.
Victor tells Ashley about Frank's confession, and that Paul saw Adam at the seedy motel. Victor breaks out in laughter when Ashley tells him that's the same motel Jack was having all his "romantic trysts" due to his sex addiction. They agree that Jack is lying like crazy and if he had told the truth, it would be him in jail, not Victor. Hug.
Mike calls Lowell about the large tax bill for the Ashram, and that it's in Eden's name, could be a huge problem for her. Lowell fluffs it off, hangs up, but looks worried. He finally finds Eden and gives her his good news. He wants them to return to the Ashram immediately.
Gloria's at the hospital with Jeff now, hears him tell the doctor that his rash could have come from his wife's moisturiser. Mortified Gloria, gleeful Jeff.
Mike learns that the Ashram is in fact in Eden's name in trust, and that the land was a purchase, not a gift. Lauren wonders how Lowell could have got his hands on SO much money to buy it.
Paul tells Heather that lots of clues are pointing towards Adam (diary), warns her to take a good hard look at Adam and Jack Abbott, that Adam is not worth losing everything over. Heather scowls.
Hmmm. As Paul leaves CL, he stops by the counter where Jack is drinking his coffee, tells him he shouldn't get too cocky, this this whole diary thing reeks, He asks Jack if he's going to let Adam take the fall on it. Jack says if there is a mess to be had, then it will be all Adam's. Paul leaves, Jack has a moment of contemplation, a touch of worry crosses his face.
Poor Gloria! She confronts Jeff about what he's doing, and what the heck does he want to keep her name out of this. "Out of what?" Jeff is really enjoying himself!!
Eden lies to Mike when he calls her asking questions about money and the Ashram, hangs up abruptly at Lowell's urging.
Ashley questions Adam about her brother's involvement in the diary. Adam insists that she ask Jack, he has all the answers.
Mike figures that Lowell was sitting right beside Eden when she hung up on him, that something is OFF. Meanwhile, Lowell tells Eden that they ARE leaving for the Ashram tonight, it isn't open for debate. She can go back to Michael's to gather her things, then meet him at the warehouse like before. They ARE leaving, period.
Heather visits Victor. He's really cordial with her, says he hired her dad to work on his case. Then he turns on her, calls her a pathetic grandstander, that he'll ruin her career, hands her an envelope, tells her to read it.
Jeff gets Gloria to confess to poisoning the cream. Funny as she looks for the wire, the bug, the tape. That was funny!!
Adam meets with a wedding planner, along comes Paul who hauls Adam off, warns him that he is going to Mexico to zero in on the diary hoax. He makes a case for him to come clean to save his daughter. Adam says there's nothing to confess but you can see how worried he is now.
Ashley storms at Jack , accuses him of lying to her, that he was behind that forged (something). Jack grabs her by the arm and takes her into the dining room. A stranger overhears her accusations. Ugh. Ashley tells him about the hotel coincidences, Jack maintains his innocence. Wow, Ashley is furious, says she is cutting him out completely from Jabot. Jack's face falls a mile. Ashley stomps off.
Victor tells Heather about the forgery and that Adam is behind it. Poor grim Heather. It's starting to sink in with her.
Mike pours over the documents for the Ashram, figures out that Lowell stole the money to buy the Ashram from the bank that was bombed (40 years ago). "We've been HAD".
Police pull back the privacy curtain in Jeff's hospital room having caught Gloria's entire confession on tape, and they arrest her.
