Here we are at the start of another week, and Christmas is just 10 days away!! How was everyone's weekend?
We had a fairly busy one with a beautiful party yesterday at Christine and Bob's house. She had her place so wonderfully decorated, I should have taken pictures, just gorgeous. We chuckled at the Christmas tree, though. Bob and Christine have a big Persian cat that took exception to this thing in the living room and kept knocking it over, so they turfed it out to the deck off the kitchen where it sat, minus all the pretty glass balls (that were in a million pieces by now) with the red twinkle lights blinking at us in disbelief. Poor puss was locked in a bedroom upstairs after that disaster.
Today I'm back baby sitting for a few hours late morning, early afternoon, no car as it's in the mechanic's with some kind of a shimmy going on, probably needs new tires.

Well Jolene is a bit sick this morning and the earliest appointment I could get her in for is 1 this afternoon. So I am stuck at home this morning. Worked out okay because I got to send out my cards. Well most of them.
Not too much of an eventful weekend. Got Jolene's pictures done yesterday. I will need to load them onto photobucket because on the cd they gave me most of the pictures are sideways. I loaded them onto myspace but its irritating me so I will fix them on the photo site and reload them. Then I will post a few on here.
Anyways, I am off to try and talk Jolene into going to sleep.
BTW I need people's addresses. I have Kae's and Jessica's. Moore, Jojo and Brandon I need yours too...Send in PM if you want to

Our son came over yesterday to help Jim with the outside lights. We're finally beginning to look a little Christmas-y.
This is going to be a crazy-busy week for me. AD is coming home on Thursday, I'm getting my hair done this afternoon (LONG overdue), and the doll club has its annual holiday party on Wednesday. I still have so much to do in preparation for both the meeting and for Christmas that I can't even believe it. I don't know where the time has gone!

D-i-l just called, and Q is really sick with a bad cold, but she still expects me to baby sit. Her mother is still here, but too sick to drive back to Boston, apparently having caught Q's thing that he got from Vanessa who is your basic typhoid Mary, thanks to her school. I have a bad feeling about this.
One of her friends is going to watch bun-rab while she's here, but I don't think it's the one who did it before. In any case, bun-rab isn't coming with her this time.

Moore, I didn't know AD was coming home for Christmas. How nice! And how is NCD doing? Her car accident getting taken care of?
Aw, poor little Q. I hope he feels better and doesn't get anyone else sick!
I'm at work...Jackson is with me. They cancelled school today. I'm guessing they closed it for the negative temps alone. It took me 15 mintues to get my car started this morning. It is awful. It's warmed up to -8, LOL. All my other co-workers are at home, except 1. They all have more than one child, so I'm the only one that can really bring the child to work, since there is only 1 of him, LOL.
And, I'm waiting on word from my brother. My sister in law went in to be induced this morning, so I should have a new niece today! I'm crossing my fingers she gets here soon.

Jolene has grown SO much since the last pictures of her. She's a young lady now, and adorable, Shelly.
Jojo, Bran's right about it being nuts to have the office open when schools are closed. With any luck, people will stay home so you won't have a gazillion calls today.
Back from baby sitting - 4 hours is too long for me. Q was awake the whole time and he's cruising now, so it's exhausting.

I haven't gotten the update from NC-D yet on the estimate for her car. I was out for most of the day today, running some errands, and becoming blonde again...

Thanks everyone. My mom actually made her dress. It is WAY too long and a little big around the waste and the arms but I didn't get it until Friday and it was too late to take it to get it fixed. Some day I will learn how to do it myself but I haven't yet.
Jojo I hope that you had an uneventful day at work. We got Jolene to the doctors only for them to confirm to me that she has allergies and not pink eye. So today was an 8 hours wasted for nothing. I think I could have went to the ER and gotten through faster. And their doctors would be better then the guy we saw today, he was not good.
Kae I hope that the little ones completely get over their colds. What a terrible time to be sick
I would just like to note that when 1 is the high and not shortly after you've been outside doing some quick running around it turns to -4, the weather is INSANE!

Oh, work was INSANE today. Remember, I'm an insurance adjuster, so cold, icy and snowy weather makes my job a lot more hectic. It was awful!
I did manage to sneak away for a few hours to see my new little niece, Anaya Jaye. She's precious. I held her, and kissed her tiny little nose. It was great! I'll post up some pics later.
