We're in the middle of a huge snow storm here today. It started about 7:30 this morning and is expected to continue all day. Ugh. I had the foresight to change my mother's hair appointment to tomorrow after the ploughs have had a chance to clean things up a bit.
Anyway, I'm home all day. I'll tackle the wrapping later and just hunker down waiting for Ted to make his way back home later. It took him almost an hour to get to the Fieldco. office this morning and it's usually a 10 minute drive.
Anyway, keep warm, all. I'm trying to appreciate the romance of a snowy day, lol.
Moore, I thought of you this morning as we had to send Nick his original birth certificate. He's changing his licence plates from Ontario to BC, cancelling his Ontario insurance and registering out there. My baby really has relocated. Sniff, sniff.
AD got in last night, but had to fly into Baltimore. It took Jim nearly as long as her entire flight to drive up there through traffic, retrieve her, and get home again. Crazy.
Our son was supposed to join us for dinner, but couldn't because of a flat tire. He fixed it, and ordered pizza with his roommate.
NC-D and her boyfriend will be driving up on Christmas Eve. The nice thing is that they'll still be up here when we do our annual celebration with my nephew and his family, which they haven't been able to do for a couple of years.
We're all going out to a Russian restaurant the night after Christmas, so I think by the time everyone leaves, we will have had enough celebrating!
I still have too much to do, but I guess I'll survive it all. Somehow...
I understand how you feel, KaeEll, about that birth certificate, and the relocated child. It's a tough thing!
