Well, finally, my hurt over the mess with my parents has turned into anger, a good thing! Yesterday I caught my father listening in to a phone conversation I had with my mother (who actually phoned ME, a first in many months, and she was surprisingly lucid) and the weight of it all lifted in an instant. Phew.
This is the last day this week that I'll be spending cooped up in the house nursing the worst cold ever, lol. Tomorrow is the usual Friday stuff and Maria, the planet's noisiest cleaning lady, will be here any minute today.
Shelly, what's going on with that picture you got last weekend of Moore and Jolene? I'm still waiting...
Good morning all. Things are quite boring here. While I am glad that they renewed my contract I kind of wonder why since i have like no work. Oh well, like I said I am happy it was renewed.
I keep trying to load those pictures for whatever reason my computer isn't reading my chip. Kind of annoying. I miss having my husband the computer genius around.
Kae I am happy to hear that your mother called. Must have been nice.
KaeEll, my father-in-law used to listen in on conversations, and we all learned to be very careful about what we said when talking to anyone in that household. I don't blame you for being angry! It's good news otherwise that your mother called you, and sounded so good. Maybe those flowers had something to do with it... I'm also glad to know that you're finally on the mend.
As for the pictures, I think that my silent hex may have worked. I despise having my picture taken, and one of the few that I've ever liked is my avatar. LOL!!

Well Moore if I remember right the one Jo took came out okay. I think I grabbed at it just in time and lifted it to a good level. But I will email it to you before I post. Not the other one though because there isn't enough of you in it for you to worry about it.
And thanks about the material. I kind of have my heart set on a Noah's Ark theme, my sister is right, the two by two thing is perfect for twins and its asexual too.
Shelly, don't be angry with me, but I think the fabric is far too bright for a nursery. I really prefer muted pastels for a bedroom. I took the liberty of finding some footage of one of my favourite designers up here, Sarah Richardson, who herself has just had a couple of kids and has done up their nurseries on her TV show. I hope the link works.
BTW, back when my kids were little I also had a Noah's Ark theme (in bright, bright colours, too) in Mike's bedroom on one wall, and he peeled off the wallpaper with his little fingers through the crib rail. I don't know if he did that because it was an amusement or if he objected to all the colours, lol.
Well my mom is going to be making me curtains and I am really trying to find a good fabric for it. Not having the best of luck. I think she will even go and make me a blanket or two out of it as well.
Not long after our oldest was born, I read a study which said that newborns love bright colors, and that they particularly like the contrast of black and white. I think it's a nice change from the usual pastels.
I'm laughing at the peeled wallpaper, though, KaeEll. I think that's something little fingers can't resist. LOL! When my youngest nephew was still little (the one with the three kids), his wallpaper was pretty much destroyed, and my sister decided to take it down. One of Drew's playmates was a little boy who had a totally anal mother, and the poor kid wasn't allowed to blink. My sister invited him over to help take down the wallpaper ("Just rip it off!"), and she told me later that he thought he'd died and gone to heaven. Permission to be destructive!! She said that the sparkle in his little eyes was something to behold, and the child had more fun that afternoon than he'd probably had in his entire little life.

I am so frustrated. I am trying to find the perfect stroller for 2 infants and all the reviews all talk about 1 infant with another child who is bigger. I want to know what the stroller's are like with 2 infants in them...Ugh.
And Moore I kind of like the red only because its bright. And it will only be bedding and curtains. I live in Navy housing. Can't really do anything to the walls.
Yes, I'm having one of my "busy cycles," lol. It's been NUTS here.
Shelly, I think the fabric is cute. I have no opinion on bright colors vs. muted, but personally I tend to lean toward more pastel colors for baby stuff. But, that's just me. I think the noah's ark is cute though.
Kae,glad you heard from your mom!!!
And I can't wait to see your pics! Hopefully your computer will allow you to post them soon!
Well Jojo its nice that you manage to be able to pop in and let us know that you are doing okay. I think we all worry about each other when we go missing for too long.
I hope that everyone is having a great Friday. This place sure is quiet today. I trust that Kae made it out of the house, I hope you are feeling back to normal
I had a double stroller briefly because my first two kids were so close in age. This particular stroller was nice because the seats faced each other, so the kids could see each other while they rode. The downside was that it was a long stroller, and difficult to maneuver. I don't see many of those either!
The side-by-side ones allow them to interact, but I imagine the width might be an issue with some doors.
