Thursday

It's been a slow news week up here as the only big whoop dee do has been about the cold snap we're having and how we ought to dress in layers, for heaven sake. As if we don't already know that, lol. But it is a nippy minus 19C today, sunny and bright.

Yesterday I was just exhausted chasing around a little 15 month old for what seemed like hours and by the time I got home, it was all I could do to put dinner on. Today I was recruited to stay with Q again but just for an hour at 3 while d-i-l picks up Vanessa from school. It's a major haul going there in the traffic and bundling up a squirmy little one, so I don't mind so much helping out for that.

What's on schedule for today? Anyone watching AI? Seems the ratings have fallen to a 16, down form 18 last year, although most shows would kill for that kind of viewer-ship. Tonight we're looking forward to the last episode of William Peterson on CSI, with incoming Laurence Fishburn. Anyone remember him on OLTL aeons ago?

It's bitter here today too.

NC-daughter and Loren are coming up on Sunday for the festivities, so I need to fluff up the guest quarters, and I need to do some preparations for next Wednesday's doll club meeting.

Otherwise, no matter what else I do, I'm going to stay inside!

KaeEll, I didn't start watching OLTL until 1988 when AD wanted a 2:00 pm bottle every afternoon... Until then, AMC was my only soap.

Another fun Thursday of freezing then Kae? Not much here. We have fog. Yeah, fog! LOL.

Its cold here again too. Temps are in the teens and the snow keeps falling. Had to put the 4wd on this morning just to drive down my street. I seriously pray that this is my last New England winter.

I haven't watched AI yet except the funny clips that you see everywhere. Like the bikini one. Am really excited and at the same time sad to watch CSI. I have always love Grissom.

We LOVE Grissom too! He's the main reason we've continued watching that show, in spite of the gore they have sometimes.

I'll see what I can dig up about Fishburn when he was on OLTL. It was WAY back.

Oops, Y&R time.

I think that Fishburne will be good, he just isn't Grissom. And in a year where we lost Warrick too this will be tough.

Oh, I hated losing Warrick too, but from what I'd read, the actor had a serious drug problem and was fired because of it. :(

Yeah, and the scenes for it were really good.

It was pretty nasty today here too. Snowed all day yesterday and today. I finally had to go out an hour down the interstate to do some inspections. With driving time and battling the snow, I got 2 inspections done in a time period in which I normally can do 4-5. At one point walking back to my vehicle to print out an estimate and check, I fell straight back in the snow. My back is in quite a bit o' pain right now.

And, since I didn't get all the inspections done, I have to go yet again tomorrow. I just hope the snow has ceased for good. It stopped around 3 pm today, and once I made it back here, it had began to melt off the roadways.
