It's now day 3 of Ted being away in San Francisco and I'm surviving much better than I thought I would, lol. It's not so bad having the whole bed to myself. Last night my friend Marilyn came over for the evening and I managed to botch up the new flat screen in the family room when I tried adjusting the picture format from letter box to regular. Beastly thing. I'll brace myself for a call to the tech support guys later on so I can catch my Friday night shows on HD rather than watching on the old set in the den.
Today is the usual Friday stuff, running around with my mother and some errands. The cold snap has eased off and we're up to a balmy minus 3!!
Well Vinnie gets home today so I will be leaving work early. And of course I was just handed enough work that had I been able to stay until 5 would have kept me busy all day. Thank goodness he said it didn't all have to be done today...
They have been saying on the radio that we would be in the 40's today. I don't know if I believe it. I was freezing this morning. Poor Vinnie is not gonna know what hit him. I have to remember to put his coat in the car.
Kae I am glad that you are doing well with Ted being away. I agree that it is nice to have the whole bed to yourself. And the tv, too. How long will he be away? I bet he is enjoying the weather out in San Fran eh? I hope you manage to have a good Friday despite all the fun running around.
I just realized that Shelly, KaeEll, and I have all three been husbandless at the same time, for the past couple of days. Jim has been in North Carolina since Wednesday, but will be home again tomorrow.
We should have been on the phone together, in a conference call... LOL.
Not much planned for today. It's been such a busy couple of months, I'm rather glad to have this quiet day today.

I just talked to Ted on the phone, as he was just waking up at 7 a.m. Pacific time. He said how much SF has changed since we lived there and the hotel he's staying in, at 4th and Market Street is lovely. That part of town used to be kind of slummy, but no longer. And it's 53 degrees F there too. Positively gorgeous compared to here, lol.
I have to be out the door in half an hour, so I'll say bye for now. Shelly, enjoy your guy's homecoming! (Ted will be home tomorrow night. He opted against the red eye and will get an afternoon flight tomorrow instead.)
I've been to San Francisco only once, towards the end of our first year of marriage, and I absolutely, immediately fell in love with it! If I can get past my distaste for travel, it would be wonderful to go back one day.

I have only ever been to the airport there. Though I have to say that the USO at the San Fran airport is/was awesome. I think that the furthest North I have ever been in Cali is Monterrey and I just loved that place
