Well I just found out that my blood sugar was WAY too high at the first glucose testing and now I have to go in tomorrow morning for the 3 hour test. Please pray for me that I don't have diabetes.
Also, found out that my iron is incredibly low. So I will have to start on the iron supplements. I have been SO tired in recent weeks so by taking these supplements I should have an increase in energy. I hope anyways.
Yes, will do Shelly! Have you ever tried drinking cherry nectar as an additional iron supplement? It's yummy and very good for you. Up here it comes in a tetra pack but I'm sure you can find it easily at your grocery store in the European section. And since iron pills can tend to be binding, the additional bulk from the nectar helps in that area.
No, I haven't tried anything. I just know she said that increasing iron in my diet wouldn't be enough. So I am going to try and find easy to digest pills.
Shelly, there used to be an iron supplement called "Slow FE". It was easier on the system because it released the iron over time. You might want to look for that.
Also, molasses is very high in iron.
You may have that gestational diabetes, Shelly, that will go away after the babies are delivered. The thing about the high sugar is that the babies will become large, and with twins this could become very difficult for you!

When I was pregnant with Jolene I also failed the initial test but the 3 hour test came back okay. So I am hoping that this is what's happening again.
My big relief is the iron. I have been so insanely exhausted the last few weeks and have been a little worried. But increasing my iron should make that stop, or at least I won't be as tired. Anymore its not even just sleepiness but sheer exhaustion. My body is tired.
