So we had a big snow storm last night. Got about 10 inches and Vinnie thinks that more is to come. Good news is that Vinnie is home and i don't have to worry about any of the not fun parts of snow.
Anyways, am stuck home because everything is slow today. The had a delay in opening the base which means daycare was closed. They just barely started plowing our street about an hour ago. So needless to say the roads are nasty.
Anyways, what are you guys all up to? Kae did you get to eat that good dinner last night?
Snow is all about the kids! Jolene looks like she's having a great time out there, all cute in her pink jacket... Playing in the snow is a good way to wear a kid out. Hope you have lots of cocoa on hand.
I heard some kids headed down the street a little while ago, and they may have been heading for the GREAT sledding hill that's behind one of our neighbors. Anyone who buys that house HAS to understand before closing that there WILL be sledding there on snowy days!!
Here's a picture of the lower level of our back deck, and the side street (the one where the "drug bust" occurred. LOL!! There's also one from the front because the snowy shrubs look so pretty.
No problem! Our youngest already emailed that it's supposed to be 91 in Arizona today, so your beautiful weather report only adds a dash or two of salt to the already-healing wound. We're tough!
Anyway, the snow looks pretty, and will probably be gone in a couple of days. No ducking necessary, jojo...

Wow, you guys do have all the snow! We just have remnants of it here and there, but it is cold at -11C today.
Shelly, we didn't eat Keg food last night after all. They told us on the phone that we'd have to wait in the bar for them to cook the take-away and neither of us wanted to do that last night, so I ended up cooking some haddock we had in the freezer for dinner. Tomorrow is my father's birthday so we might take him and mom there for dinner, depending upon how I'm doing. D-i-l will be greatly relieved if she doesn't have to hold a bd cake tea for him after school Tuesday. We printed up the online menu and I found your Sirloin Oscar with sea scallops and Béarnaise sauce. I knew immediately why it would be a Shelly favourite!!! It looks divine. Rich too!
I'll post a couple of pictures of our dreary little snow patches for you. lol. Moore, so gorgeous around your house. Shelly, Jolene looks like she's enjoying the snowy day, no cares at all. Is that Vinnie in the edge f the first picture?
Jojo, after the crappy spring you had last year (as I remember, you were shovelling in May) you need this lovely weather. Enjoy it!
KaeEll, that is the most PATHETIC Canadian snow I ever saw!! LOL... That's just sad. There you are in The Great Frozen North, and I'm down here in Virginia, and I have more than you do. There's something wrong here.
The Sirloin Oscar sounds delicious, and if I weren't in the process of eating leftover stew right now, I'd be drooling all over the computer.
