Brandon, did the snow abate and did the city get things under control? March storms are depressing! We've been very lucky this year but it's not over yet so I dare not gloat.
My ordinary Friday duties have been put off until tomorrow so I have today more or less to myself. I changed my mother's appointments to Saturday so she'd be all fresh and pretty for the big party on Sunday, her dearest friend's 94th birthday.
Little Vanessa turns 4 next week. Rather than the requested bouncy castle, I took her shoe shopping on Monday and found 3 pairs she couldn't live without. (RME here) I think Ted and I are hosting the family birthday party for her here, but that hasn't been established for sure. She's having 8 friends for her "real" party on Saturday, a rainbow theme party complete with her rainbow dress, tights and shoes (that we bought together). I raised boys so this kind of thing is a bit foreign to me, if not downright indulgent, but hey, what do I know?
I was just talking with my sister this morning about the weather. She was frustrated because more rain was coming. I told her that we had a bit of rain yesterday and this morning but after what Jojo and Brandon got I can't complain. Would MUCH rather have rain then snow. Besides rain helps heal my grass. I yearn for green grass again.
I am happy to hear you have a day of not a lot going on. Rest is good. I hope this bug finds a way out, and soon. I picked up the latest SOD and the cover has Kay and Jill. The headlines say "Kay is not Jill's mother, only one actress knew!" plus a smaller one that says Kay's shocking diagnosis and why they did it. Should be interesting. As long as they don't give her Alzheimer's I am good.
I am so uncomfortable at the moment I wish I could just go home and lay in the bed. A few more hours I guess. I realized last night, yes I am slow, that I am carrying 7 pounds of baby already and still have several weeks left. I don't at all look forward to my belly being heavier.
Yeah it was supposed to go on through the evening but it stopped in early evening. However the guys that were supposed to watch the kid today (wife is in Canada again on dental business) were actually supposed to be back in town yesterday and they still haven't made it back

KaeEll, I don't doubt that you're having fun playing dress-ups with Vanessa, after having had three boys. My cousin raised a son, and now has a new granddaughter, so she's thrilled! Pink, pink, pink... It's very nice that you can have a quiet Friday this week. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of Vanessa in her rainbow dress!
You guys are making me feel guilty now about having posted those pictures yesterday! It was so gloomy here, and y'all up north and out west were having such a terrible time with the weather that I thought I'd interject a little hope into the mix, but I can see that sharing my Virginia blossoms might have actually underscored the lingering winter instead. Not my intention! I swear that there's hope... Really.
It's scary to think that March is ending. In no time at all, we'll be closing in on 2010, and I'm having a very hard time wrapping my head around THAT concept! Aren't we supposed to be flying around with personal jet packs by now, and shuttling back and forth to the moon?

Moore, it was wonderful to see the blossoms! It gave me hope that this interminable winter would actually end soon. We're due one more dump, as usual, some time in April after many of us heave a sigh of relief. Keeps us in our place, lol.
BYW, I'm watching AMC now. I kind of like that Zach and Kendall are kaput. And I like that Erica has stopped being the vampy vixen at her age. All that hair flipping and mutton dressed as lamb business gave me the willies and is one of the reasons I stopped watching that soap. I like her involvement in the Little A thing. Erica V David! YAY!
Erica has been fantastic lately -- her old Erica self!
I'm BEYOND tired of the Kendall, Ryan, Zach, dead-Greenlee merry-go-round, and would love for Kendall to find someone else now. Bored, bored, bored... None of their behavior, on so MANY levels, is even remotely realistic!

I made the mistake of trying to watch OLTL again today. Oh dear. Why doesn't Gigi just tell Rex what her sister is trying to do? I used to love this soap.... *sigh* It used to have a certain intelligence to it. I need to go gargle now or something, lol.
KaeEll, this is the kind of thing that always makes me nuts with soaps. If I were Gigi, I'd go running immediately to Rex and, with his help, put together a plan to scam the little scammer! (*bangs head against wall*)
