I hope everyone has a happy Sunday! Today I have to go a meeting for work. There will be some swimming, too. All this will last from 2 to 2.5 hours. I hate breaking up my Sunday. Yesterday I taught swimming for four hours. Then my husband and I went to a German festival. Lots of people were there. It continues today.
We're bumming around until it's time to go to Mrs. Roy's birthday party at 3:30. Mike will be rolling in around then too but he'll be glad, I'm sure, to have the house to himself and get some sleep. Those band tours aren't the healthiest times, lol.
My father toddled off the other day and bought himself a brand new Buick Lucerene with all the bells and whistles on it, wants to take it out to Oakville to the party. He can't even read the owner's manual because of his macular degeneration, nor should he even be driving, but as I've said a billion times, what do I know.
It's so frustrating dealing with my parents I've lost the ability to express it without tears. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his 2006 other Buick that had all of about 7000 kilometres on it. He didn't even give any of us the opportunity to buy the "old" one from him. And to top off the utter vanity of this ridiculous purchase, father has to take a driver's test along with an eye chart thing next week. If he fails it, and he likely will, no more driver's licence for him. Pretty expensive week of driving a posh car, isn't it?
My babies.

Sundancer, you are a busy person, but you always sound like you're having lots of fun! I think that's wonderful...
KaeEll, great picture of the "babies". I'd say that you managed to produce three very hunky sons. Good job!!
I'm sorry that your father has pulled another one on you, and I know how frustrating it is. I have no words of wisdom for you, except fairly lame ones, and I'm sure you've heard them all before. TRY not to let it all add to your stress, although I realize that's easier said than done, but you're supposed to be decreasing your stress right now, not worrying over additional stuff. At the very least, don't mention his new toy, and don't give him the satisfaction of knowing that it bothers you! Ignore it, just like you used to do when one of your hunky sons threw a tantrum at age three...
We woke up to an overcast day. Jim didn't sleep well last night, so went up to take a nap after we finished watching CBS Sunday Morning. I was supposed to be sewing, but decided to alter some patterns instead of making noise with the machine. Just as I was about to do a little quick stitching, all of our power went out, for no apparent reason. It does this, just randomly sometimes, and has for years. There was no rain, and no wind. The only thing I can think of is that there was a car accident somewhere nearby, and it knocked out a power line. Anyway, everything is back on now, and the sun is out! What a bizarre day...
I'm back to sewing, though. Jim has been up for about an hour now, and is working in the dungeon office. Lucy is snoring.

Kae, I have no idea what to say about your father. As Moore said, try try not to let it stress you any more. I know that won't be easy though. And nice pic of the kiddos!!
Weird power outage, Moore. That happens sometimes too here. It's really odd.
Sigh. We're supposed to get anywhere from 6-12 inches of snow tonight. Grr.
What a great picture of your boys Kae..They look like they are having a good time in the picture. And sorry to hear more troubles with your dad. What a headache and a half.
We had a long day at church, had potluck. I couldn't find a brisket so ended up getting a roast and made bbq beef out of it. I had to leave Jolene's favorite mickey toy with a woman at church. His little arm is about to fall off and she said she could fix it pretty easily. So that was hard to do, getting her to give it up. And then we came home and napped for about 2 hours. Longest I have slept in 1 sitting in a long time. How sad.
Jojo that is horrible about even more snow. Blech.
