Good morning all! We had a really early start today, at least early for us, not early by Sophia's standards, lol. Ted's off now and I have chores to get out of the way before a doctor appointment at 1 followed by a visit to Mrs. Roy. Our house is fuller now with both Mike and Maya here taking over 2 rooms and lots of the air space. Moore will know exactly what I mean. I'm not complaining, just saying. It's very different. Maya is sick with a flu she picked up sometime during the 27 hour plane rides here from NZ, so their moving plans are presently on hold.
Not much going on here. I have my shower Saturday. Its going to be a diaper shower so that will be nice. That really is the only large expense we have left. We have done really well about getting everything else prepared. We have 2 cribs, 2 pack n plays, 2 carseats, a double stroller. Plus lots and lots of cute clothes that match. So diapers will be great. I am usually a Huggies snob, but with Pampers donating to unicef I feel like I have to go with that.
I expect you will have a nice afternoon with Mrs. Roy...I hope Maya doesn't pass that flu on to you. You have had enough of that this year to last through several seasons.
A diaper shower sounds like a great idea, goodness knows that you will be needing them! You must be getting so excited!
KaeEll, I hope that you stay healthy!
Today I received my official full-time offer letter, and I accepted. I called my consulting company, and gave them my two weeks notice. I am very psyched, and very glad that in this economy that I am fortunate enough to convert over to full-time. Contractors are getting cut everywhere, so the security will be great, not to mention having benefits!
I had health insurance through my ex-husband, until March 23rd. It was written into our divorce agreement that he covered me for five years, and it was up. I can go on cobra for the next 18 months, but at $412.00 a month it is costly.
Anyway, I am so glad that the weekend is almost here. I am planning on watching the three hours of ER tonight. I have been DVR'ing it for the last few years, and was really hooked to it in the early years. It has been great to see the old characters over this season.
Yeah Diaper showers are great, especially for mom's who aren't first time moms. The last one our church did was great because we even had a sign up sheet of the different sizes. The mom said she didn't have to buy her own diapers for almost a year. That is great.
Saw the doctor this morning, all is well. Had another stress test and fell asleep. The hospital bed is more comfortable then the one at home. My mattress at home is extremely firm, which when I am not pregnant is awesome and feels really good. But with the extra weight (still only at 26 pounds) it makes it difficult. Doc also said its better to sleep on the left side anyways, something about it just being better all around. Plus, as I am sure I have told you all many times. I had high, really high BP with Jolene and so that has been a major concern this pregnancy. Especially with 2 babies, well my BP thus far has been great. He told me he was going to order a toxemia test but since my BP is so good he is going to wait. And YAH, we only have 4 weeks until we are safe.
I'm here in between runs back and forth. I came home with some sliced roast beef, cheese and fresh bread for lunch and Mike made the sandwiches, very yummy. I have eaten half and the other is sitting beside me. It is pouring rain today so I am already soaked. Uck.
I'll watch Y&R later this afternoon. Oh, Moore has been crazy busy with doll business and helping AD with a genealogy project. She's fine, just madly swamped.
Great news from your doctor, Shelly!! Too funny that you fell asleep during a stress test.
