Obama's Dog

You know what, I will honestly admit that I am not a big fan of Obama. But this is ridiculous.

The new first dog

Some journalists apparently just don't have enough to keep themselves busy!

The Obama's are going to donate money to a local shelter, and they're allowed to change their minds!! As it is, that adorable little Bo is a readoption because he wasn't a good fit for his first home. So, in a way, he really is a rescued dog...

I just think it is an insanely ridiculous thing to criticize him for. The dog is adorable isn't he. Cute pup, and the girls will have fun with him.

Hey you know what, you don't always find the dog, sometimes the dog finds you. Hell even Caesar Milan will tell you that. So they didn't find a shelter/rescue dog. Big whoop. They're going to donate to a shelter, not like it's a huge promise broken or anything. And besides, it wasn't a promise he made with America as far as I recall. So again, whatever.

He's adorable, cute little sweet poochie. Some journalists need a serious priority adjustment. Geez.

I totally agree! As an FYI, I went out and searched petfinder.com, to see what was out there for the breed, and there were a handful of them listed throughout the country, not one that would have been a good fit for them. In all honesty think about how bad it would have been had the adoption been with the wrong dog, that does not meet the health reasons. I'd prefer to think of the glass as half full.

In all honesty, they have some pretty serious allergies to deal with. Heck, you all know that I am very active with a dog rescue group, and were there not allergies to deal with, I don't doubt for an instant that they would have had a puppy from a rescue group.

Funny enough, I thought that it was VERY suspicious that there was one of the breed listed at a shelter in DC.

While I love rescue dogs, and those who bring these wonderful animals into their homes, an animal has to be the right fit for a family.

What I believe is really important is that they have opened their home to a dog, and that alone brings a tremendous amount of attention to the joy that a dog can bring to a life.

Sophia I agree, honestly I am just thrilled that they finally settled on one. I bet those girls are beyond thrilled. And that's what matters.
