Mike and Maya moved out to their cabin on the trout creek yesterday, drove off in the rented car shortly after noon. It's quiet here now, but no complaints. They took the place for the rest of the month until their apartment is available May 1st, then another bit of upheaval, removal of furniture, etc. It'll be interesting to learn how they like living out in the woods, away from public transport and amenities, total peace and quiet, no land phones and sketchy high speed internet.
So what's going on today? Moore has her doll club today so we likely won't hear from her. Another day of work, nothing special?
So you are back to a quiet house huh? That should be nice. And at the same time Mike isn't too far away. Its nice that two of the three are close but not in house close.
Not much happening here. I have 2 and a half more weeks left of work and to be honest it could not come any faster. Blech I am SO tired its insane. I am at this point the same size most women are when they give birth. The babies are about 4 pounds each if not bigger. Which means I am carrying an 8 pound baby with 5 weeks left til they come out. Sorry for complaining but I am just tired and beyond grateful that I have such an easy job. No stress.
Anyone watching DWTS? I am so glad that Steve-O finally got the boot.
Yeah, we watched DWTS last night and we cheered when that guy was booted off, finally!! Ted loved the West Side Story number! Gorgeous costumes, eh?
Shelly, you have every right to moan!! That's a huge task you have there and it does seem to drag by this close to the end. How are you managing for dinners at home? Are you still cooking or does Vinnie help out, bring food home, etc?
Nope, for the most part Vinnie cooks all meals. He asks what I want for dinner and I simply reply with whatever it is that he wants to cook. After 8 hours of work I am kind of useless.
Lucky you!! I taught my sons how to cook when they were young and all do a great job in the kitchen but Ted's mother didn't and he is the useless one in there now, lol. He can boil water, and that's about it!
I got back about forty five minutes ago, and I'm tired! It's been raining all day, so traffic was slow, and of course the roads were wet. We had a lot of fun, but I'm glad to be home now.

Hi Moore! Is the sun over the yardarm there yet? Can you pour yourself a little sumpthin' and put up those feet?
Oh, Tony brought us a new Australian chardonnay the other day and we had some last night - absolutely fabulous yummy, pear-y, fruity, rich and warm. Ted already put the bottle in the garage or I'd go get the label and share it. When he gets home, I'll ask him if he feels like fishing it out. You and Jim would LOVE it! It's even better than Black Opal and that had been my favourite for years. (We have to take back all bottles for recycling, take them to the Beer Store and get the deposit back. We wait until the van is full of boxes and off we go. The proceeds buy us another special treat, lol.)
Happy to hear you had fun, although yuck to the rain. I always like a little bit of rain this time of year. I feel like its good for my flowers. But lately it has just gotten too much.
Although after reading a comment from Jodi on Facebook I will no longer complain. Much rather have the rain then the snow she is still getting.
Kae that wine sounds good. Be sure to have a nice glass for me.
Ted grumbled that he didn't have time to dig it out of the garage today but if he's in a good mood over the weekend, he will. I want to note the name of it too so we can buy it again.
Wednesday my daughter (Brenda) and I went sight seeing around San Francisco. Thursday morning she had her surgery on her ankle. It took 4 hours rather than the 2 to 2.5 hours orginally scheduled. I will return to Houston on Monday morning.
