It's been raining all morning, and I've even seen a little sleet! It's making me want to go back to bed, especially now that I ate a few leftovers. I can't believe I'm seeing sleet, after having had such a beautiful weekend. Not fair...
Saturday's dollmaking class was fun, although I was exhausted by the time I got home. This always happens though because these classes are fairly intense. Judi Ward (our new club member) does a lot of online teaching, and in person teaching, so she was using eight of us to test this class before she officially offers it. She wanted to time how long each task took, and get feedback from us. This also meant that we got to do it for free! YAY...
By the way, has anyone noticed yet that our very own Shelly is a new Junior Mod on SOC's GH board? She's a brave soul, that Shelly! Not only does the girl have twins on the way, but she's decided to venture into scary, murky waters. I imagine that she'll be coming over here even more often (if she has the time) to clear her head a bit!
Jim and I are going down to NC this weekend to see Loren in his play. Our daughter says that he's doing an awesome job. We're proud of him!

I am honestly a little worried. Sometimes I do tend to be over sensitive. Like some things sound like baiting to me but they really aren't. Or the other way around where a poster will say someone is baiting but it doesn't seem that way to me.
Will you be able to take pictures of the play? Which play is it that he is doing again?

It's cold and rainy here too but so far no sleet. Ugh. We were up really early this morning for the window washers, had to let them inside at 7:30 and had to be out of the bathrooms and all dressed too. Yech. But now my house is all sparkly. Clean windows make such a difference.
Go Shelly! Maybe I should start watching GH so I can post little devil messages over there and keep her busy, lol. (You know I'm kidding.)
Shelly, I don't know if we're allowed to take pictures or not, but I think they may post them on their website eventually. The play is "Lend Me A Tenor", and it's at Raleigh Little Theatre. Loren has to sing too!
Sounds like a good time, I love plays. I just heard a commercial on the radio this morning about Annie being on Broadway. I would love to take in a Broadway show before I leave the north east.
How has everyone been? It is starting to rain here, on Monday night around 8:00 PM. We are forecasted to receive quite the amount of rain over the next couple of days. Knowing that we had rain in the forecast, spurred me into some intense lawn work over the weekend. I basically dug up my front and side yards, and reseeded them and put starter fertilizer down. They are now covered with straw, waiting for a good soaking. Thank goodness for my lawn tractor, and all of the right attachments. My ex-husband and I re-did the lawns seven years ago, which is why I have all of the attachments. It was alot of work, but hopefully my lawn will be back to pristine by Memorial Day weekend.
I also repaired some areas around my shed, where my middle dog had a field day digging holes. That was brutal work, and if I see her digging another hole, she will get a serious reprimand.
I took a nap out in the sun yesterday, and I felt totally decadent, it was WONDERFUL! I leave on my single's cruise in ten days, and I can't wait. I am getting very excited. I started as a full-time employee at work last Monday, and I had an insane work week.
Anyway, I hope that everyone is having a great week, and Moore, your doll day sounds like a blast. KaeEll, you have inspired me to get out and clean my windows. Thank goodness I replaced all of them, except for my VERY expensive bay window, a year and a half ago, so they all tilt in, which makes it such anb easy task.
Sophia, I was actually thinking about you a few hours ago.
When I heard Jim at the door tonight, I unlocked it for him, and looked at the front yard. This is the time of year (and especially with our recent rain) when all the grass looks like it belongs in Ireland. It's so green and beautiful, and our front lawn made me thing of you tonight.
The doll class WAS fun, but I swear that I'm still recovering!

Wow, am I jealous, a lawn that is green enough to look like one in Ireland. This is the week that I always will remember as the week that all of the lawns up here in Massachusetts shed their winter appearance and embrace the spring. When my daughter was younger, I used to always go down to Baltimore, with my daughter, to visit our family there. We would go to Washington DC, and Virginia over the course of the week. Those are very fond memories.
The dogs woke me up extra early this morning, at 3:30! I am working on my second cup of coffee, trying to find the motivation to start another work day....
