YAH, Friday is here. I have kind of an odd schedule today. Had to come into work (YAH 1 more week left after this) for a few hours and then I am off to do my anti-stress test, and then to the OB where he is going to do the Group B strep (sorry Brandon, this is probably too much info for you). We have 1 more week until it is safe for these little girls to come out. Have an Ultra sound Monday and then we will know for sure which one is breach if any at all, hopefully none at all. The thought of a C-section terrifies me.
Anyways, after all that I get to come back to work because I had a couple days this week where I went in late and went home early.
What is everyone up too....and where is everyone? The weather here is chilly this morning but is suppose to warm up into the 70's this weekend. I hope you guys get good weather. Well besides poor Jojo, who I understand is getting even more snow. Yuck

Good morning! It's beautiful here today, at long last. I have to leave in less than an hour for the usual Friday running around with my mother, then pick up Ted from the subway , then some mundane errands.
Shelly, as scary as a C section is, the recovery time in hospital will give you the chance to catch your breath after delivering the little ones. The custom of sending brand new moms home a few hours after giving birth these days is along way from the 5 to 7 days we were allowed to stay in the hospital many years ago. Our d-i-l was home only 4 hours after having Q 18 months ago! Gah.
The new shutters were installed yesterday afternoon and we're pleased with them. I'll attach a photo.
4 Hours...sheesh. I get 2 days for a normal birth and 4 for a C-section. Is that one of the downsides to that insurance thing you guys have? Thank goodness she didn't have any problems.
I look forward to seeing the shutters. Vinnie keeps bringing up buying a house, I look forward to it because of stuff like that. I want to be able to remodel.
Shelly, this is a fantastic time to buy a house. Up here the Bank of Canada dropped interest rates yet again, so mortgages are more affordable than ever. I say GO for it!!
So here are the 2 windows in Nick's bedroom. The third shutter, in Ted's office zone, faces west and when I tried taking a pic of it, it came out either all dark or too light, but it's the same design. Moore, can you see the orange extension cord on the Adirondack chair through the one window? Does that help put the house in better perspective? Nick's room is downstairs and we live in a raised bungalow with five steps up on the front porch to get to the front door.
Here it is anyway, Ted's office window. If I opened the shutters the sun streams right in, super bright. Not complaining, but it makes photos a little challenging.
I'm off now for the marathon sprint around town. Have a wonderful day everybody.
Love the shutters, KaeEll. I'm a shutter person too. What's difficult for me is that I've never stood in your outdoor space, so I'm trying to get the perspective right. But I also need pictures of the lengths of property along the two sides.
I have to take Lucy to be boarded and bathed while Jim and I are in NC. We're leaving tomorrow morning. I have packing to do, etc., although we're just staying one night. AZ-D wanted us to come out to meet her friends before the semester ends, but I don't think we're going to do it. She and our son had that little trip to Las Vegas, and just to go out to AZ for a few days will involve boarding Lucy, paying for airline tickets for two of us, getting a hotel room for several days, probably getting a rental car, etc., etc. That's an expensive little get-together, for no particular reason! Speaking of AZ-D, I'm pleased to report that there are still young people who have integrity, and who show responsibility. I got a phone call yesterday afternoon, and thought it was AZ-D since the caller ID showed her cell phone number. Instead, it was a young lady named Laura who said that she'd found our daughter's cell phone of the floor of a lunch room. Our home phone number is the first one listed in our daughter's directory as her emergency contact. Laura said that she and her friends had waited in the lunch room for as long as they could, thinking that whoever lost the phone would be back looking for it. She wanted to tell me that she was taking it to a lost and found area in that building, and exactly where it was.
Our daughter and Kyle must have just missed the girls because they did go back to the lunch room, and Kyle knew that there was a lost and found. So they went there and retrieved the phone. Our daughter thought, "Whew! My dad would have killed me if I'd lost this phone!" She had no idea that we already knew about it until she read the email I'd sent her, spelling out where to find her phone, according to Laura's instructions. LOL...!!! Gotcha.
Shelly, AZ-D was a C-section, although my first two were regular deliveries. It's a trade-off, frankly. With the regular delivery, you have to go through labor. With the C-section, you get the pain afterwards rather than before. Either way, it ain't easy getting those little ones into the world!

Nice shutters! Poor jojo! Snow .. ick! I move next week luvs! I got a very gorgeous 3 bedroom house nearby. It's smaller but newly remodeled in many ways. I need to find a smaller microwave now though because the new house has a special place for it and the one I have is old and big and definitely will not fit. I am also going to graba a nice grill. I have an enormous back yard and with that I just have to have a lot of cook outs .. it's a law.
Spent most of yesterday at my friend Nora's house with her brother and Mike. We all work at Comcast. Nora is as sweet as they get and an anime fan (yay) she's the one my dad tried to convince me was a bad influence... boy is he wrong .. in this friendship I'm so the bad influence. Let's just say Nora is the most innocent 23 year old I know.. yeah I mean innocent in the untouched way. Mike however is as flamboyant as they get and Will .. well Will is the anti Nora lol.. I am convinced though (especially after 2 hours of him playing with kids) that he's not as mean as he tries to make people think. I'll post a few of the pics here
Hey Jess, nice to see you alive and well. And the kids all look happy. Please do post pictures of the new house. Sounds like a perfect fit for all of you.
Moore I don't blame you for not doing the AZ trip, besides all the money spent its going to start getting awfully warm in AZ pretty soon. Have fun in NC, I can't wait til I am close enough to go visit there.
I don't think most women who have just given birth have to leave the hospital so soon anymore. The rule that the women had to leave so soon was probably made by men with business heads! Not only does the woman have to recuperate, she has to take care of a newborn (or two) 24/7!
