We just got back form running a bunch of errands including a trip to the Restore (Habitat for Humanity) which was in itself a huge waste of time as they had nothing suitable this time, just awful-looking carpets.
It's HOT here today at 27C!! Crazy weather. Tomorrow we're all meeting at a favourite restaurant that is kid-friendly for lunch, a whole lot easier than having everybody over here. That should be lots of fun. Ted and I get there a little earlier to snatch a good bunch of tables and order the kids' meals so that when they arrive they don't have the opportunity to get all squirmy and impatient.
I've been lazing around all day watching tv. It's too cold to go out and do anything fun. Stupid snow. At least the snow stopped yesterday, and it was just icky and cold out. A little rainy here and there, but we have one of those delightful winter storm warnings for tonight. Fabulous. They are saying 4-8 inches of the crappy white stuff, but I'm hoping they're wrong, wrong, wrong. I was hoping to go out tomorrow to find some patio chairs!
And I had a HHH sighting on tv the other night. He was on 30 Rock, but not looking as yummy as he did on OLTL. Oh, well. It was a funny bit.
Jojo, all that snow at the end of April!! Ugh. Poor you. Are you still happy you left the south for that?
OOOOh, I miss HHH. Those were the good ol' OLTL days!
Last night we watched Oliver Stone's "W" with Josh Brolin. Not a very flattering portrayal of the former president, lol. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?
LOL. It's time like these I miss the hot and muggy south! We are stuck inside today as it continues to come down. However, it's not sticking to the roads terribly. It's just mainly wet and a little slushy.
I have not seen W, but really want to. Is it good?
Jojo, I really liked W and so did Ted until he fell asleep half way through. Most people up here considered him to be a moron (to be kind) so Stone's story didn't offend but I can imagine those supporters of his (I assume he has a couple) might not like this movie. Otherwise, if you've liked other Oliver Stone political bios, then you'd like this one too. Josh Brolin did a fantastic job.
I wasn't really a supporter of Bush, just of the president. I didn't approve but the darned military has ingrained it in our minds so much that you can't say bad things about our Commander in Chief (this wasn't easy after the whole Clinton/Monica thing). I haven't seen the movie yet, to be honest I haven't seen half of the movies that I have wanted to see over the last year.
