Rain and more rain!

Here in southeast Texas last night we had torrents of rain. While I was teaching swimming there was a tornado warning nearby. So, everyone all had to get out of the water. There are two indoor pools. After about 20 minutes we could continue teaching what children were still there. So, in the next class, the electricity went out. It was evening and only little daylight left and only a few windows. Everyone one got out safely.

Sundancer, you sent your rain to us! While we didn't get your torrents or tornado warnings, it's a rainy day here today.

Wow! I didn't think we had rain left over to send anywhere!

We had the tail end of that system here yesterday too. Today it's just cold. Brrr. Hey, as long as we don't have to shovel it, I'm not complaining.

Supposedly we are getting rain tonight or tomorrow. Joy...but Kae is right, as long as I don't have to shovel I won't complain. Especially since our dear Jodi keeps getting the darned white stuff

Well, the snow is tapering off. We still have days of it here and there, but not much, and mainly just small dustings of it.

My co-worker was just deployed to Houston for help with claims from all the flooding in Texas. Hope everything is ok down there for you Sundancer!

Where we live is higher ground, (northwest part of the county) so we didn't have any flooding problems. Where are you with all the snow?

Wyoming. These spring storms are fairly common, and we've been known to get snow through May, and even into June.

When does the snow usually begin for the Fall/Winter?

For most of my life I lived in northeast Ohio near Cleveland. There usually isn't any snow in April, but there can be. Snow starts in mid November. The lake gets very warm in the summer. As the cold winds blow from the north over the lake, it picks up moisture. As it rises turns to snow and dumps in the land below---over and over again! I don't miss the snow here in Houston.
