This weekend is a really big deal for us up here as it unofficially heralds the beginning of summer and the opening of the cottages as the frost danger has passed (unless you live in the tundra, ugh). This weekend the nurseries, garden centres and highways are about as busy as they will ever get!
We're getting a few pots of flowers later on today but I usually pick up some here and there for the next couple of weeks. Thanks to Moore, I'm tracking down some mandevilla for a pot on the patio. Great suggestion, thanks!!
In case you're wondering why this weekend is called Victoria Day, it's the official celebration of the Queen's birthday, complete with fireworks. Personally, I believe it's just an excuse for a Monday off work, but hey, it all works.
Good morning, Kae! I have a meeting to go to this afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Just enough to break up my day. Other than that, nothing in particular. I hope you have a good weekend!
Lazy day here. I bought some jalapeno/cheese smoked sausage and regular ole' hot dogs to make for dinner on the grille. My friends at work know I have little family here, and bought me a small grille to go with my small patio, some charcoal, and some cilantro and jalapeno plants (which the cat has now effectively eaten) all for Mother's Day. Sweet girls. It's a tiny little grille, but perfect for a single mom with an equally tiny apartment, LOL. I'm going to wait another week or two just to make sure the overnight freeze/frosting is gone, then I'll go get another jalapeno and cilantro plant and start over. Stupid cat, LOL. I hope his poo burned on the way out.
LOL. Jojo. You know they say that stuff burns two times, non? *snort*
Yesterday Moore sent me a funny video that I sent around to a few friends, got backs some very good replies. I'll share it here too, courtesy of Moore, who has the good taste not to offend anyone who might be a fan of the subject. Not me, though, lol. Too funny, and SAD as well.

That video is funny, reminds me of when she sung the take me out to the ball game song for a Cubs game and said popcorn instead of peanuts. Love the girls music but she should have stayed in school longer.
Hope you guys all had a good weekend. I am still adjusting to no sleep. My mom is here for another week so I have until then to get on a better schedule. And now I am off to put little Gracie back in bed before I go attempt to make more milk for the night.
