Good morning! It's been a little quiet around here since the twins were born, lol. Shelly posted a series of pictures of the kids on Facebook and they're growing beautifully, as expected. Can you not post them here, Shelly?
We had a mystery solved very late last night as an important piece of paper my mother had hidden was unearthed after much searching and rummaging around. It was in a ridiculously unlikely place, but thank goodness my father found it. He now has it in safe keeping. Phew.
Ted's been working from home a lot lately. Today we have been granted an audience with our little ones for tea. D-i-l has been cranky this pregnancy, very reclusive as far as her in-laws are concerned. At least I'm off the hook for baby sitting so much, which is good in a way for me but I do miss the kids. Come to think of it, Vanessa will be at school during the allotted hour, so I guess we'll only be seeing Q. Hmph.
Nick is now back in BC after a week-long cross-country drive. Mike is also back from WV. We've yet to see the new apartment, he's been so busy with work and band rehearsals.
So what's up today? Anyone enjoying the soaps these days? I've actually been watching, although I have to admit that OLTL still bores me witless and I seldom get past a few minutes of it before I zone into something else.
I will post later tonight when Vinnie gets home. My mom left Monday and his parents won't be here until Sunday. Vinnie went back to work today so I have a 3 day lapse where I am on my own. So I am trying to figure out a routine.
Glad that your mystery was solved. What a relief that must be. I am watching yesterday's AMC and have to say that I really don't love the new Scott. And I am watching OLTL. Wondering how long til this Stacy mess goes away and how long Bess will be out.
Anyways, Gracie is making funky noises so I am off again. Just wanted to pop in and say hello.
KaeEll, I feel like I've abandoned you here this past week! I've just been so busy with my daughter's visit that I haven't had the chance to post. I only have her until Saturday morning, so I'm trying to squeeze in as much one-on-one time as possible. I'm REALLY going to miss her when she leaves. Not going to talk about it now, though... I have a few minutes now because she just took my car, and left to go have lunch with her dad and brother downtown. She's going to park at a large mall that's right by a Metro stop, and take the Metro the rest of the way.
Our son was over for dinner last night (lasagna), and we all had a lot of laughs...
The other board was also keeping me busy, and without saying anymore than this, I can already see that it's going to be a VERY long summer. (weeps softly)
I'm actually enjoying both AMC and OLTL lately, and am not one bit bored. Well, except with Todd, but I do love Tea, and think that the new dynamic between Tea and Blair is interesting. I'm really hoping that Tea will survive her injuries, and that something doesn't go horribly wrong at the last minute. That would suck!
I'm sorry about your grouchy DIL, KaeEll, but am equally glad that you were able to solve the mystery with your mother's document. YAY! Every little thing helps.
Shelly, you must be tired! We miss you, but know that you're enjoying every minute of your babies.

Y&R was fantastic again today!! It is such a good soap, I really wish you guys would give it a try, but time is of the essence, I know. I post a little bit on the SOC Y&R board but I'm not really a part of the community there, so it feels kind of hollow for me. Uh well.
Moore, enjoy every second with AD! And Shelly. good luck on getting the schedules down pat. It is SO important to have a fairly rigid routine with little ones or life becomes chaotic and nothing is accomplished at all. I've seen first hand, and with so much heartbreak, just what a flimsy schedule can do to a young family and it doesn't make for happy children either. And then, finally, when the parents wake up and see what a freaking mess they have made, and take steps to correct it, the rules become draconian and ridiculous. (I wonder what I could be talking about, lol.)
