Here we are midweek again, folks. I'm home again all day with Donna, the painter, who ought to be all finished before 5. It's just the two of us here today. Yesterday Chloe was barking off and on all day at the various workers stomping in and out, nearly drove me nuts.
So what's up today? Anything fun, new or exciting?
For some reason, I have a crashing headache this morning. It may be because of all the humidity here.
The GOOD news is that our son's candidate for delegate in their district won his primary yesterday by a landslide, and he was a bit of a dark horse! Because the winner of the primary is virtually unopposed (there's one "green" candidate with very little following), he'll most likely go to Richmond. Our son is VERY happy! He's spent his weekends, for MONTHS, going door-to-door with this guy, so he's very pleased. Now maybe he can get some rest.

Not much going on today. In laws are leaving tomorrow. I am kind of looking forward to having my house back. Not looking forward to taking care of the girls by myself but looking forward to my own house.
Kae let us know how the finished product looks. And Brandon congrats on the new kittens
Two kitties!! More twins for the board... Congratulations, Brandon.
Shelly, I can well imagine how much you want to have your own house back to yourself. It's nice to have the help, but it's also nice to get back to your usual routine.

Congratulations to the new papa, Brandon!! Must post some pictures of the kitties and the other pussies.
Moore, atmospheric pressure and humidity do contribute to various complaints, for sure! Did you take something for the headache? And congrats to your son's candidate. YAY!!
On a funny political note up here, Nova Scotia just elected an NDP provincial legislature. That's the left, left, left wing party and Nova Scotia is about as bluestocking as you get. My friend, Marilyn, who is a Nova Scotia gal through and through is mortified, absolutely aghast. I chuckle.
Shelly, as great as all that help has been, I understand completely how getting the place back to yourselves is attractive. I'd have torn my hair out in huge chunks if my m-i-l had been around when I had babies, lol.
Oh! My Nick landed a plum job. He's now working for Whistler Tourism. It's right up his alley and he's SO excited. I can stop worrying now about whether he's eating properly.
It's always nice to be able to take a deep cleansing breath where our kids are concerned, isn't it? One day we're not breathing much at all, and the next day everything is perfeectly fine, and we have absolutely no memory of ever having climbed onto the darned roller coaster ride in the first place! The kids are completely nonchalant about it all, and we're a mess!
I'm glad that Nick's so excited about the job, and working for Whistler Tourism sounds like it would be loads of fun!
