Well, fortunately I don't have anything terminal, according to the CT scan, but I do have acute diverticulitis, and since the week's worth of antibiotics didn't help me, my doctor is letting me have a weekend vacation in the hospital.
I'm at home for as long as it takes me to collect my stuff, and will be in for two nights on an IV drip of something potent. I guess I won't catch up with you guys until at least Sunday...
See ya later!

I am extremely relieved that you are essentially okay and the hospital vacation is likely a good idea, at least you are within doctor's reach all weekend. Please message us when you are back and call if your plans change.
I got back home a couple of hours ago, after having been kept an additional night. This thing has really been persistent. I'm on the mend, but weak.
One of the IV medications gave me a slight reaction, but it was localized, and not systemic. They switched me from IV meds to oral on that one yesterday, but I stayed on the IV for the other one. I was all ready yesterday morning to go home, but was still having enough pain that my doctor didn't feel that I should be released, and I was rather grateful. That, and the fact that when Jim came to get me, and we were taking a little walk down the hall, I began having pains in my right leg. With my history (that near fatal clot thingy years ago), they sent me off for yet another CT scan and doppler, both of which showed that everythng was okay. But I can tell you that Sunday was a difficult and stressful day.
When I have more strength, I'll entertain you with descriptions of the food...
Just wanted to let you know that I'm alive, and home.

Thank goodness, Moore. I was so concerned because I phoned your house last night at 8, no answer, so I figured that they kept you another day. So you're home all safe anad sound and on the mend. Life, huh? It's always sumthin".
I had kind of a busy day, but I'll post on the Monday thread.
