I wonder if Susan Lucci will want to make the move out west after she has been well established in the NYC area for so long. My guess is that she won't move and will be slotted in as a recurring character.

But YAY for hi-def. Y&R has been for quite some time and what a difference!!

It's somewhat comforting to know that the network is at least THINKING about improving the soaps.

There are a BUNCH of threads on SOC's AMC board about this move, and posters raise some interesting points. For example, all of the babies and young children will most likely be recast. I wonder, though, about the little actress who plays Emma because she had a recent movie role (in "Marley and Me") Some posters speculate that it could be the end of Kendall and Zach, if Thorsten Kaye considers returning to OLTL as Patrick Thornhart since Susan Haskell is already committed to the show.

And what about Pine Valley's exterior shots? It's supposed to be in Pennsylvania, after all...

Dan did a last-minute radio show on it last night, on BlogTalkRadio. I wasn't able to hear the entire thing because Jim wanted dinner, but it was an interesting conversation, and I may go back and listen to it again in iTunes.

Interesting times.
