Greg and Rachel finish their kiss on Tuesday, September 8. After a little soul-searching, Rachel decides it would be best not to keep leading Shaun on. While on her way back to Llanview with Ross, Blair anticipates Téas downfall. After arriving at La Boulaie, Blair orders Ross to hide out in the cabana, where he is nearly discovered by Téa. Stacy is dismayed when her pregnancy test is negative on Thursday, September 10. Gigis suspicions are raised after discovering the empty box in Stacys trash. Rex insists to Stacy that she keep her doctors appointment. Gigi presents her findings to Schuyler. At the same time, Stacy gets an answer to her prayers.
Encore Presentation of 06/15/09 Episode on Labor Day Following a heart-to-heart talk with Starr, Marcie decides that the teen is ready to be a mother now and hands baby Hope over to her. Asher offers Cole drugs. Overcoming temptation, Cole throws the pills away only to be caught by a cop. Angry at being dumped by Ray, a drunken Dorian crashes the graduation party Langston is throwing for Markko in honor of his high school graduation. Markkos conservative parents are horrified to hear Dorian reveal that the pair had sex on prom night. Dorian continues her rampage by throwing out Moe and Noelle, and firing Shaun. Fed up, Langston pushes Dorian into the pool. Téa is fuming with rage when Todd forces her to testify in his custody case against Blair. Under oath, both Blair and Téa admit that Todd is the love of their lives. Following the judges ruling that Todd and Blair must live together and share custody, Téa plots her revenge against Todd.
The Inside Story: Dont Mess with the Mob Sergei and two of his goons hold Todd and Starr hostage. Shaun quickly arrives on the scene and manages to shoot one of the thugs and knock Sergei out cold. However, as Shaun climbs the staircase to stop the other hired hand from kidnapping Hope, he is shot in the back on Tuesday, September 8. After regaining his senses, Sergei beats Todd to within an inch of his life. Although injured, Shaun gathers his strength and attempts to stop Sergei, only to be shot a second time. Meanwhile, Viki and Mayor Lowells debate comes to a climatic end when John and Fish arrive to arrest the corrupt politician. Cole informs John that he has been unable to reach Cole, and quickly catches Marty up to speed on all that has happened. Fish helps a tied up Todd out of the closet, at which point he informs John that Sergei ran off with Starr and Hope. While holding them hostage at a warehouse, Sergei allows Starr to contact Cole, who is at the police station. Shortly into the conversation however, Sergei demands Cole give the phone to Bo so he can reveal his demands. Fish manages to trace the call, while John assures Cole that he wont let any harm come to Starr or Hope. By Thursday, September 10, Sergei warns Bo that Starr and Hope will pay the price if his demands are not met. Todd and Blair pull together for the sake of Starr and Hope. As Sergei reminds the cops that time is running out, Bo, Fish, John, and Brody team up to rescue the hostages on Friday, September 11. Brody nearly reaches Starr and Hope when disaster strikes. Sergei takes John by surprise.
A Closer Look: In the Line of Duty On Wednesday, September 9, John and Fish find a gravely wounded Shaun. In a desperate attempt to keep the bodyguard alive until help arrives, John administers CPR. Later, Greg cant believe his eyes when his brother is brought into the emergency room. Across town, Rachel arrives at Todds house looking for Shaun and encounters Téa, who breaks the news about Shaun after receiving a call from Todd. After hearing the news from Rachel, Matthew prepares to tell Destiny about her brothers injuries. Although Shaun makes it through surgery, Greg makes an unexpected discovery while examining his brothers x-rays. Greg informs Shaun and their parents of the risky surgery he needs to perform to save his life. Shaun agrees to let his brother operate on him on Friday, September 11.
