Our son just called. Karin (d-i-l) is in labour now and he'll be taking her to the hospital soon, so I've got to get myself over there. Uncle Mike will pick up V from school at 3:30 and bring her back home, Ted will join me at Tony's house right after his meeting this morning. (LOL, it takes a village, lol.) Mariola, the next door neighbour, is going to stay with Q until I get there in a little while.
This is exciting! I'll let you know how it all turns out!!!
Oh my goodness I am late to this party. I am so happy that she finally went into labor. Hopefully by this point you guys have another beautiful baby to enjoy. My prayers are with all of you.
Little Clarice Juliette was born at 6:24 p.m. September 23rd weighing in over 8 pounds. (She was 7800 grams and some.) They were home by 10 p.m. and sleeping well, but exhausted.
Ted and I haven't seen her yet as we left their house about 5:30 yesterday when a neighbour came over to switch shifts. Tony called us shortly thereafter with his news. We're heading out this morning.
All went perfectly, all natural, no druggies, no slicing. I'll post some pics as soon as I have them.
LOL, ditto here, Shelly. But then I always thought of Tarantino when Q was born, but no longer.
We just saw her and she is gorgeous, sleeping well. They took her home just 31/2 hours after she was born to a snug warm house where she slept throughout the night with just one little wake up. The neighbour is there helping and next week the m-i-l will drive up from Boston.
Tony took pictures last night and as soon as he posts them, I'll steal a couple for here.
CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm impressed that they were back home so soon after the delivery, and after no drugs, etc. Wow. I don't think I could've done it!
It's a beautiful name, and I can't wait to see pictures. I'm sure that Tony is feeling very proud right now, and that Q and V are inspecting their new little sister, with a somewhat critical eye. LOL...

Thank you everyone! We are all so excited and happy. The midwives did offer Karin and baby a room overnight at the hospital but Karin wanted to go home to her own bed and all were healthy and strong, so no problems to be dealt with.
When Moore and I were having babies, the average stay was 4 days in hospital! How things have changed, non??!! Now they toss you right out if all is well.
No wonder Karin is exhausted. She had a 16 hour labour but only the last 2 were "hard" labour and she said she only had 2 difficult pushes. Plink, out came Clarice, crying and strong. The miracle of it all still awes me. I can't wait to hold her.

We stopped by there yesterday with some dinner for them and I was able to hold my newest little one and Tony did take several pics of us. I have to encourage him to post them someplace in between jockeying around the brood. I took d-i-l some Guinness too, to help her milk come down. They are all seriously in a lack of sleep mode as baby has days and nights upside down.
Nick is now back home from BC too. The young lady is coming here on Tuesday from Montreal. Apparently there's a big end of summer party this Friday night after which they'll both go back to Montreal to meet family then take off for Cancun. Ted and I are trying to coordinate a party here for birthdays (Mother's on the 5th and Mike's on the 3rd) during the week but every time we settle upon a day that works for some, it doesn't for others.
Oh, I asked Nick why he took down his Facebook pages and he said that it was a pain in the neck. That seems to be a trend amongst the yung'uns too. What was once so much fun turned into a rather large liability. Finally!!
