Shelly, glad to hear Vinnie's mom is doing well!
Any plans for the weekend? I got all my grocery shopping out of the way this morning, along with trips to the rental store and library, so I'm just hanging out. I'm in a cooking mood, so I'm going to make some chili and pumpkin pie later one. I've been craving both lately. LOL.
My current source of amusement. I had a letter published in Soap Opera Digest. It was in regards to Jonathon Jackson taking over the role of Lucky Spencer on GH from the insanely hot Greg Vaughn.

Anyways, Jolene had 2 birthday parties to attend today. Since we are leaving shortly, I felt like we should try to make it to both parties. And the second party was for a girl who is leaving in a week. Her dad is getting sent to Afghanistan for a year, so they are going home. Its very sad...but such is life in the darned Navy.
Jodi I hope that Jackson is feeling okay after your motrin scare...

Shelly, wonderful news that Vinnie's mother will be just fine. Scary stories all around.
We had a funeral on Friday and lots of running around yesterday. It was also the day for stowing the garden furniture and emptying the hoses for the winter. Ugh, winter. Ugh.
Today will be relatively quiet. At 11 Ted said he'd take me to Bath and Body Works - there's a sale on and my favourite hand soap (Moonlight Path) is on for $3 a bottle, so I want to stock up. Oh, the thrills, LOL. Parents for dinner, as usual - chicken, some pasta and a salad.
Shelly, not that I watch GH now, but I do remember, back many years, watching and that original Lucky was on. The new guy, Greg Vaughn, is HOT as h**l and makes the original one look like a little kid. I wonder why they did that?
Oh yeah, and Eric Braeden is back as Victor, eh. Humph.
It was definitely scary, and all my fault. I can't believe I grabbed the wrong bottle. I had taken the ibuprofen out because I had a headache, and my head musta been somewhere else, because I took three out, which is as many melatonin he takes, and gave them to him. I walked back to my room, saw the bottle sitting out and freaked out. Who does that? It's not even like the bottles look the same! Uggh. I felt like such an idiot. But thankfully, it was nothing to worry badly over. They didn't even make me register at the ER. The triage nurse took our info, then went and talked to the doctor, who said we were welcome to stay, but that it would be a minimum three hour wait as the ambulances had been rolling all night. She said just to watch him, and if he acted funny to bring him back, but they doubted he would. And he didn't. He was fine. Whew, indeed!
Oooh, Shelly, would you be able to link your letter? I'd love to read it! I think firing GV for the original was an idiotic move. GV is so much better looking, LOL.
I wish we had a bath and body works here. I love, love, love their lotion. And here in the windy, dry west, I go through bottles of lotion like toilet paper. I apply it at least 5 times a day.
Speaking of preparing for winter, we awoke to a lovely dumping of snow. Gross.
Well thank goodness it was Ibuprofen instead of tylenol. I have a friend who use to be an emt. That is some nasty stuff. I guess if you have to have a scare like this it is good it was with something that turned out to be not so bad. Now you know you won't do it again in the future with a medicine that is more dangerous.
I will try and scan the letter later. I am quite proud of it. I was and still am rather devastated that they have gotten rid of Greg Vaughn. Kae you may remember him as Diego from YnR. He is just too yummy. I hate that GH is getting away from the soap hunk in favor of soap scrawny person with JJ and Spinelli. And the bad thing is that they have done the Real Greenlee thing with him like they did on AMC. You would think they would have learned. Only with him they said that Liz's first love is back. As if the character has ever gone anywhere. Ugh, anyways, the new/old Lucky airs this week. SOC had a Goodbye Greg thread up for over a week. i think it hit 13 pages before Ruby had to close it. The man will be missed, hopefully another soap (not ABC) will snatch him up. Although he already has an independent film booked and i think was auditioning for some CW show.
Anyways, Kae I hadn't heard about Victor. Ugh, although I guess I am happy about it. Would much rather have him then Adam. Especially without the adorable CE.
I am sorry again about the loss of your friend. I hope the funeral was okay.

Jojolin - don't beat yourself up over that, especially since nothing bad happened. Who does that? People that have bad headaches. I know I can't think as clearly when I have a headache.
