Wednesday again

It is Wednesday again, where is everyone? Kae how is your computer? Is it completely gone? Is that why you haven't stopped in?

I am watching YnR now and they are still showing Victor leaving town...he just asked Nikki to go with him. So for that reason alone I am happy they are keeping Victor, wasn't fair to lose Niki just because EB couldn't reach an agreement. Oh and Kae, GH snatched up the guy who was Ryan for so many years to play a young doctor.

Sorry to talk soaps here but I figured since no one was posting anyways might as well keep the few posts in one place.

What is up with everyone? I get texts from Jessica. She is okay but is working way too much.

I just got my computer back from The Apple Store and it's 100% again. It turns out that the problem was with the high speed cable - something about a splitter in the furnace room compromising the whole network. The cable guy was here last night for another problem (pixilated picture on the TV's) and he fixed all of it! Apple did a diagnostics test and found no problems at all. Who knows. But I'm back now.

Yeah, Shelly re Victor huh? I guess that he'll be in Belgium for a few weeks until they write him back in. Oh, and I LOVED the actor who played Ryan. He was Victoria's first husband, non?

I was at the dentist again this morning - cleaning the other side of my mouth. I can't stand sitting there for 70 minutes for the whole mouth so they split it up for me. I'm delighted that we have full insurance coverage for THAT. Then I stopped by Java Joe's (local cafe) for a bowl of cream of spinach soup and a scone. Thrills and chills, lol.

Yesterday a bunch of us went to a bankruptcy sale at a children's store at Humbertown and I found a gazillion bargains. I took them all over to Tony's house and baby sat for a few hours. Kids really liked all the goodies, especially a winter coat I got for V - a reversible long puffy coat that was regularly $200 and I got it for a song. I found sweaters and hats and gloves, a pink bunny rabbit and sparkly tights, onesie's and blankets - aaaww, I was in heaven! It's sad that the store went under after 38 years but times change and not many young moms want such high end stuff anymore. It turned into a grandmother's store (for all intents and purposes) but demographics change and she lost the business. Sad, but I do like bargains!!

Nothing else happening around here. Ted's been working from home almost all week. Many people are freaked by the H1N1 virus and now that so much is electronic, it doesn't matter where people are working from. Are you guys going to get the vaccine?

Kae, its such fun get get good buys! 70 minutes seems like a long time to get your teeth cleaned. I am not sure if I am going to get the H1N1 flu shot. I would like to. It depends if it becomes available to me. Meanwhile, I am getting ready for our trip to San Francisco. We are leaving Friday evening and coming back Wednesday evening. We will stay with our daughter, who has recovered from pneumonia and strep throat. Saturday we are going sailing in the Bay!

Yeah Kae, I always say that the guy who played Ryan was one half of one of my all time favorite couples. I think him and Heather Tom had awesome chemistry. Though I am learning from BnB that she has chemistry with everyone. On that show they have her in a relationship with the guy who was Brad. Quite amusing.

Serious kudos on the sale. I love those.

Hey Shelly, when do you move down to Virginia? Have you found a house yet?

Sundancer, Ted and I used to go sailing all the time when we lived in the Bay Area. We'd rent a sail boat from a marina near Berkley and sail to Marin County across the bay for some lunch, then back again. It was so much fun! I hope the weather holds out for you because it can be awfully rainy this time of the year there, especially in the mornings.

When I lived there, during the winter months, I used to dress for three seasons in the mornings. Layers, layers, layers, lol. By noon the fog and mist would have cleared up, the sun would come out, so lunch breaks would be warm and sunny. By the end of the work day, it would be coolish again, so a sweater would be necessary, but not the rain coat. At least there was nothing to shovel!

Today I'm going with Christine to a hose factory. They have socks, hats and all sorts of leggings, all for about 20 cents on the dollar, retail. The kiddies need socks with little treads on them, so this is the place to go. It's a bit of a muddle there, but I've been before so I sort of know where to look for the good stuff.

Apparently Vanessa came home form school yesterday talking about Miley Virus, lol. From the mouths of babes...

We leave CT on the 18th of November, will drive down to VA and leave my truck with my sister. Then we are headed north to Michigan for Thanksgiving. We haven't found a house but we have decided to do navy housing probably the first year, at least until our taxes come back. We figure it will be easier when we have lived down there instead of guessing what the drive and neighborhoods will be like.

Miley Virus, that is funny. I guess they don't make teen idols the way they use too. Now they are all kind of trampy.

Have fun shopping, sounds like a good day for you.

Sundancer have fun in San Fran. I love that place.

What a good bargain day again today! For $37 I got V 7 pairs of socks and two pairs of tights, Q 5 pairs of socks, the baby a darling pink winter hat with matching mittens and 2 pairs of non-skid baby socks, me 4 pairs of pant socks, my mother 2 pairs and Ted 2 pairs of snazzy argyle socks. Christine got her step grand-daughters frilly socks and tights (with ruffles on the bottoms) and herself some foot-less leggings all for $11! Then we went to Ace Bakery and had latte and split an apple cheddar sandwich and blew our good fortune by spending $14.41, lol. Dumb us. We should have waited until we got home for lunch!

Shelly, did you see the Victor retrospective thingy on today's Y&R? They must have done that when EB was "off" the show. I think he's ever so much more handsome now that he's nudging 70 than he was 25 years ago!

I am watching it now. Am quite amused by it. This is why I love this show, you can do flashbacks because almost every actor is the same now as it was then. You can't do that with almost any other show.

Hi all!

Sounds like some good deals Kae!

I'm uncertain on the H1N1 vacc...I'm not sure I'll do it. It seems everyone is freaked out by it, but Jackson and I are fine. For now, LOL.

Thanks, Kae and Shelly. I was to San Francisco for the first time last April. Years ago when my husband was in the Army and stationed near Miami, Florida, we used to sail on Biscayne Bay. http://encarta.msn.com/map_701511165/biscayne_bay.html
