First, Kae, LOVE the new paint color! So nice and comforting. Second, what did hubby every do about the tree debacle? Did he end up with fingers full of crazy glue, LOL? Or did he get a new stand...or...get an artificial one? The horror! LOL! I have a fake tree...have for years now. The only thing I hate about them is fluffing the darn things out.
Shelly, how is the new place? I saw on FB that you love being close to family. Hope it's going great!
Sundancer, I wish we had a beauty school around here. I used to get my hair cut at the one back home. They always did a good job, and seemed to really appreciate getting paid!
Any plans for the weekend? I finished up my christmas shopping today, and tomorrow is my niece's first birthday. She's having a tinkerbell party. It's going to be so cute! I had a blast shopping for girly toys this year.
And, I bought myself a christmas present...a new car! Yay! I'm so excited to get rid of the Jeep. I got myself a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant, which I'm sure will get better fuel mileage, LOL. I put my christmas bonus down as a down payment, and managed to get my car payments pretty reasonable. I paid $305/month for the Jeep, and these payments will only be $318, so not too bad. I have pics up on FB, but if anyone wants me to post them here, just lemme know!
Jojo you will have to post pictures here of your new car. I know I saw it on FB but its a cute little car. I am thrilled you are in something more reliable for this winter.
I am enjoying our new house although we still have boxes everywhere. Both twins are teething and Gracie is just a big ball of miserable. So we didn't sleep last night. If I had given up and just let her sleep with me we would have been better, so tonight if it happens again she will just stay with me.
We have nothing Christmassy in our new house yet, kind of depressing. Good news is that I am hosting dinner this year so it will get decorated. We also have an artificial, its one of the fiber optic ones.
We had a fairly productive weekend. Ted DID fix the tree stand with Super Glue, no finger mishaps, lol. We finally got the damn thing up, but this will be the LAST real tree, I'll tell ya! Last night we put the lights on and today I'm pecking away at the decorations.
Shelly, it's too bad we can't all be there to help you unpack! We'd have that new place humming like a top in one day, but alas... You must keep us posted, and send pics! Ditto Jojo and the new car. Congratulations!!! And YES, isn't it FUN shopping for little girls? I love it too!
Poor Gracie and her teeth. I'm sure you've tried Ora-Gel, for whatever it's worth. Not much, according to d-i-l. It doesn't last too long, though; just long enough to make mom and dad miserable. Hang in there, Shelly!
We saw the kiddies on Saturday. V now calls me her "Darling Sweetheart Nanny". LOL. It's probably because I feed her and Q cake frosting when the mommy isn't looking. *snort* The baby is beginning to look like a person now too. She looks like our son. She's a real howler, screams until she is purple when not in her mom's arms. I got to hold her for about 20 minutes but as soon as her mommy entered the room, squalling like there was no tomorrow. Yipes! My ears, my ears.
This week ought to be sort of productive, I hope. I'm almost ready for the holiday with the exception of a run out for some presents for Ted. I know exactly what to get and where to get it - just a matter of going there. Oh, and Moore, Kindle JUST arrived in Canada!! Just! All sold out already!
Anybody suffer through that treacle-filled bit of slop last night with Oprah at the White House? As much as I like the Obamas, Oprah's smarm made me shudder. Yech.
