Today is my husband's and my 39th wedding anniversary. He bought me a dozen long-stemmed roses and a live orchid plant. Three of our four grown children and 4-year-old grandson are here to help us celebrate. They flew in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from three different cities.

I envy you for the orchid! My very best childhood friend's (I've known her since I was 3-1/2 years old) father raised orchids (he had two greenhouses), and won lots of ribbons for them. They always had a potted orchid or two inside their house, so the idea of a potted orchid brings back some special memories for me.

Thanks, Moore, Jojolin, and Kae. Our daughter, Brenda made a special dinner for us. It was grilled pork loin, red-skin potatos, and brussel sprouts with bacon bits. I will try to post some pictures.
