Where is everybody? I am having computer problems, so I am at the library now. How's your weather? Its cloudy here. So, its was a good day to have our Bridge luncheon. Tonight is square dancing.
Sunda evening day I pick my husband up form the airport. He said lots of our flowers a blooming at our north house---peonies, dogwood treee, daffodils, tulips, etc. I am not there. So, I asked him to take some pictures. I will pick up at the airport when he flies back on Sunday evening.

Gah, another week of stuff happening that I didn't anticipate, but nothing exciting, just one thing after the other. I usually don't much like the weekends but I'm glad this one is finally here. It's income tax weekend too, so that says a lot, lol.
My highlight of the week was....tadah...finding some Carter's pj's at Cost Co for $7.99 for Clarisee with feet and giraffes and flowers. Also got an umbrella for outside, a 9 foot market one for $99. Marilyn "dragged" me there yesterday late afternoon with all the crowds (ugh) and we did manage to get some pretty flowers for planters too at a very reasonable price.
Tony and Karin's house plans went to City Hall for approval on Thursday too - after 3 years of hemming and hawing. I am so envious of them building a dream home at their age! Tony has plans to have it all "wired up" for the latest tech gadgets so he can turn things off and on from his computer far away. AND, the mot brilliant thing, he's sending the wife and kiddies away for the summer to Elkhart Lake in Wisconsin (for a couple of weeks, then to Algonquin) so he can oversee the construction unimpeded. Now it's finding a rental for the months of construction that's topping the list of important stuff for them. And the move...lol. (They are having their house demolished for the new one on the same site.) I think they're taking a little break from adding to their family for a few more months too. Nope, they're not done at three kids, God willing.
Mike is working away in California, happy, so it seems. He's back here , in this house, on May 31. The german/ NZ girl arrives here mid-June, sans work visa, so that should prove interesting. Nick's business is about to expand again. He's branching into package deals with hotel stays, transportation, and cross-country tours. Busy boy.
The rain, finally, is coming tomorrow. Wow, do we ever need some. I've got to get another cuppa into me, then off to the Saturday errands. All my grandiose plans for redesigning some parts of the back have been transposed into building a privacy fence 2 meters high (as tall as allowed) because our only nieighbours we can stand are moving away, finally chased away by the gawdawful idiots across the street. Who knows who will buy their house, so we're not taking any chances.
Sundancer, everything is blooming here too. I'm so glad that your husband is taking some pictures of all the flowers for you. Today (Saturday) is overcast, and we expect some rain later.
How the bridge going these days?
Last Wednesday was our doll club meeting, and next Saturday we hang our exhibit, so I have a lot of sewing to do between now and then. I've had a really difficult time getting motivated this year, but am trying to light a massive fire under myself this weekend!
KaeEll, lizincinti-Liz on SOC and her husband had their house demolished the summer of 2006. Lordy, I can't even imagine what that must be like! I swear that I'd be hiding in the back of my closet, in fetal position, and sucking my thumb just over the thought of it! It turned out well for them, though, and are now really enjoying it. But good heavens... Great idea about sending the family away for that!
I'm sure you'll get back to your landscaping this year. Your consultant here stands ready! LOL...

I just edited my post above. I am picking my husband up from the ariport Sunday night. Now I am at the library because my computer is not working. This morning I had a meeting where I work. Then I did some shopping. In a few minutes I will be helping as a volunteer with the prom dress give away.
