This is a picture (May 2010) of my granddaughter, Melissa, and one of the family's two dogs. Shadow did not wake up Wednesday morning. He was a gentle giant and 11 years old. They will miss him.
Oh, that's said. He was a big old puppy wasn't he? Sorry for your loss. At least it sounded like it was quick and painless and now he gets all his young puppy speed back chasing rabbits on streets of gold.

What a beautiful young lady!! I'm sure she's devastated over the loss of her pet, as the rest of the family must be too. It's not an easy thing to lose any well-loved pet.
Although it must have been a shock to the family to find Shadow that way, it must have been a peaceful passing for him, and that's a blessing.
By the way, welcome back Sundancer! I haven't had much of a chance to post over here for the past week or so, but we're glad to know that you're safely back home again.

Thanks, Moore. When I go up north for the summer, people there say to me, 'Welcome home!' and when I come back south to my other house, people say, 'Welcome home!' I do appreciate being welcomed in both places.
Anyway, I did miss you over here at this board. It seems to be going very slowhere lately. Meanwhile, I will see you over at Soap Central. I am sure you are busy there enforcing the rules!
