My dream house well kinda

Ok so recently my dad has agreed to helping us get out of the rental trap, and is going to cosign a loan for us as long as we don't go over 125,000 and around here that's not going to be a problem at all! He's being very cryptic about thing so I can't help but wonder if some money was left to us or something along those lines when my grandfather passed on and we just haven't got it or maybe money was left to him or who knows, but I will take the help for the loan because we can deffinitely afford the payments but my hubby's credit was ruined by his ex fiancee so we were stuck renting.

Anyways I was so excited I started looking that night (at midnight I was on realtor.com) and went and looked at one particular house and I'm in looove so I thought I'd share my happiness with you all.

Here's the link to my hopeful house
my futre home I hope

Oh the listing says it's got 4 bedrooms but when I went there I noticed taht there is a sun room over the carport and it is huge so that will probably end up being a bedroom as well.

It looks great, Jess! I can't believe how reasonable housing is there! Let me tell you, that house would be over $400,000 here. Snap it up before someone beats you to the punch! Good luck.

Oh yeah I remember how much homes were up north and now that I'm looking at them down here I keep asking the realtors what is wrong wtih the houses because it's so odd for me to see something so nice under 300,000.00 I am sooo snatching it up as soon as possible, ok I do have to get my dad's ok on it but once he looks at it he'd be dumb not to love it.

Wow, up here in overpriced Massachusetts that house would go for at least $400,00, and if within 30 miles of Boston $600,000+.

Good luck!  There's nothing like owning your own home, It'll be seventeen years for me next month.  I bought mine when I was 24.

Start keeping your eyes out for yard sales, where you can pick-up yard care stuff.  That stuff'll bankrupt you, but it's amazing the stuff you can pick-up for next to nothing at yard, garage and estate sales!

OH it is a very nice little town. There's maybe 12,000 people in town (that's being generous) and some of the streets are even still brick. There are tons of gorgeous old houses and we have a Christmas Tour every year where you go and visit these majetic old homes. I can't wait to have my own home. The only thing that I don't really really like about the house is the fact that the garage takes up over half of the yard. We'll have a carport for 2 cars and we don't need much more than that, so I think the Garage will either go or get minimized a bit so we can make room for a pool.

Ooooh, pools are VERY expensive.

If you're serious about one of those, be prepared for the upkeep.

I have a swimming pool, and I don't find it outrageously expensive. The biggest trick with pools, is to keep up with your chlorine level, and you should avoid serious problems. That and throwing some allgiside (spelling ??) into it once a week. I'd say I spend 20-30 dollars a month on chemicals, and it adds about $30.00 a month to my electric bill.

I call that very cheap for my afternoons spent floating around with my books. That's my heaven!!!!

Oh I'm all for paying about 30.00 extra each month for the luxury of a pool.

i don't know what state/town you live it, but man, do you every get a lot of bang for your buck!!!  i can't believe the size of the home & the price.  my first thought was it must be a trash heap inside lol.

at that price it won't be around long so i'd get you & your dad over there for a look/see.

good luck!

Houses here go for about $300,000.

Does the house you're looking at need any work, what year was it built, how old is the furnace, make sure you have it inspected, especially the roof!

There are certain things that just make so much sense. Not to mention all the use it received when my daughter was a little tike. I bought it when she was 5-years-old, and let me tell you, it was a god send on those warm summer days.

Imagine.... Not having to get into the car to hit a beach or pool, just going into your backyard. I've also had some incredible parties myself with it! My sister just built a new house, and she had a pool at her old house. She has four sons, and she went crazy without the pool, she's getting one this year.
