Great news! The ultrasound's findings do not look like cancer! YEAH!
I'm full of fibroids, and they are estimating the size at round 8+ inches, round for the fibroids, with at least five that they were able to see.
I'll be having a hysterectomy around the end of the month, which I was anticipating, but it could have been so much worse. My sister had a hysterectomy six weeks ago, and her recovery was great. They'll be leaving my ovaries, so I will not be going into an early menapause, just getting the fibriod problem resolved.
It's funny how much life can change in a few weeks, but it could have been so much worse. I am a very lucky person!
Yat for you Tess on not having cancer that is so wonderful. So while you are in the hospital having your stuff taken out, I'll be having a baby taken out lol.
Actually I don't know if I will even make it until the end of the month. Not last night but the night before the husband had to run me to the Labor & Delivery part of the hospital, because I was experiencing some sever abdominal and back pain but I didn't think it was labor. Well we are about 45 minutes away from the hospital and to add insult to injury I got sick in the car. It literally just hit me like a ton of bricks! So I was an icky mess when we got there and of course we were still 30 minutes away when it happened. Well the nurse got me all hooked up to the baby monitors and finally the little guy started moving again.l I was really really worried because he hadn't moved for over 4 h ours at that point. He actually kicked the puke pan off of my stomach. He didn't like the monitors at all. Anyways I actually was having contractions, but since I was hurting from the flu that I ended up having I couldn't tell the difference between the contractions and the abdominal pain caused by the flu. They gave me the choice to stay for observation since my cervix was softening or going home and like an idiot i decided to go home.
Well th enext day came and the flu was kicking my butt something terrible, so my doc called in some medicine so that I wouldn't have to go up and be put on iv fluids. Anyways I am really getting close to the end because I am dilated a centimeter and my cervix is softening already.
i had an easy time when i had my hysterectomy. the only thing i did differently was i had them yank the ovaries too. my doc cautioned about ovarian cancer post hysterectomy & besides ovarian cancer is very hard to detect & that always scared the piss out of me. even getting through the menopause stuff was fairly easy. have't grown a beard or mustash either rofl.
jessica, please, please, please.....have that little bundle of joy before we all loose our minds. lol

Speaking of ovarian cancer, they just ahd a medical mysteries about a lady who went almost 2 years with severe pains in her back and abdomen and it was never diagnosed as anything until they finally did a ct and found a large (14lbs) mass around her ovaries. Apparenly her left ovary had a huge huge tumor and it was causing her all this pain the entire time. I am so glad to hear that everything is ok and that you don't have to go through all of that pain and suffering.
I went out last night with Mr. Perfect celebrating. I had a GREAT time, but let me tell you, I'm paying for it today. I had 4+ drinks, and I'm not a drinker. My drive home this morning was the longest 20 miles in history. I have been basically couch bound all day, with large bottles of water. I hope this does not become a two day hangover......
Dya two of the hangover from hell is almost half over. I'm so never drinking again! ARGH....... Talk about stupidity! I decided to sleep over, which I had never done previously, so I had the extra drinks.
Hue note to self, always plan on driving home, that way I stop at two drinks. I'm never going to that chinese place again and having Mai Tai's....
I recovered in time to catch the game, and even cook myself some dinner. Now I'm off to bed, and even looking forward to a booring, uneventful day in the office.
We're not going to be getting the ice storm up here! Yeah!
