Its cool that she stood up for the film. I dont think I will watch that movie though just because I dont like to watch things where children are hurt, whether they show it or not. I like to live in my ignorant little world. But Dakota Fanning is awesome, and if anyone can make you feel what she is feeling then she is it..

I agree with Fanning completely on this one. She is not some young dumb little 12 year old anyways. She has always come across as an extremely inteligent and mature young lady, even when she was younger. I think it is wonderful for her to stand up for the film, and especially her family like she did. This is clearly not child pornography, and they did not take advantage of Fanning in any way. Her parents were there to suprervise as well as a number of other adults. It just seems as though we can never escape those annoying people who feel as though they have to make decisions for the rest of the world.

Well I wonder what is the movie about, she says it's not even about the rape/
Also, 12 year olds are raped and maybe seeing a movie depicting it, will remind people that we need to protect our kids

I think it's about the girl's homelife and dealing with a neglectful father and one of those sandwich generation types of families. I'm not that sure though.

Sandwich generations are when you have a grandparent living in the house along with the parents. Like after I had Cody and lived with my mom we were a sandwich family.
