I kind of think its good that you don't get a song and dance from them. Sometimes it is easier when the man or mom in some cases is cut off completely. That way they don't have the opportunity to disappoint the child. I cant tell you how many Sundays I sat at home with my brother and sister disappointed yet again because he said he would pick us up at 10 and here it is 2 in the afternoon and he isn't there. I have a good relationship with him now, but sometimes think I could have lived without those days
I had a father that never paid support either, but back in those days you didn't even pursue it. My mom was 17, she just married someone else when I was about 10 months old.

Your "nesting" instincts and uberhigh energy levels are causing you to take on battles that you don't need to deal with right now (the wretched cousin who came to stay with the friend from hell, the husband's pal who won't leave you alone, and now the husband's ex who resurfaces).
Back away from the unneeded issues, Jessica. Back away...
Ditto. Jess, this really sucks, and you need to let your husband handle it right now, while you focus on the baby.
Well they are inducing me on Monday so I can't wait. I think when I get home I'm gonna sit down and have a nice glass of champagne or 3 lol.
Oh an other news, we looked at our 3rd house today and I t hink 3 is a charm. 4 bedrooms 2 full baths one on each story. A garage in the back, and at one point the upstairs was like an appartment or something so it's got an extra sink and an area counter, which will make a nice place for a changing table. Oh and what's great is that we don't have to get help from anyone with getting a home loan at first, no worries aobut down pmt or co signers, because the realtors are willing to let us rent until we get enough credit built up to get a loan. Which means that as soon as the current tenants move out, we can move in. One other little thing that we can consider is since it needs some paint in a few places, or wall paper if we'd choose; they are willing to let us do some of that if we want to, that way we can do things the way we want in exchange we get a break on the deposit or if we would be able to buy right now he'd pay the closing cost. This is actually looking very promising, because we jumped on this before anyone else has even considered it.
We just barely missed out on the house donw the street literally by a matter of minutes because out of fairness the man chose the people who called him right before we did. Other than the fact that they called before us, he liked both of us equally. So it's very promising knowing that no one even knows about this place right now.
So I get to put all this nesting energy towards decorating stuff instead of worrying about legal junk. I must admit though, that I was getting into the whole law thing. I tell ya I'm probably the most ADD person when it comes to my interests.
So as it stands I have a lot of work that I will be doing soon, and honestly I can't wait until I am able to actually do it. I have a few ideas for rooms and stuff.
Frist my son wants his done in motorcycle stuff so I've considered painting the trim nearest the floor in black (hardwood floors so no carpeting to mess with) and instead of cookie cutter wal paper, getting something either silvery, or painting it in this really neat chrome color paint that I found. This will leave itopen for us to do some murals or something in the future. I am not sure what else to do with his room right now, but I am sure I can think of a lot of things to do that will go with the theme.
Bethany's room will of course be fit for a princess. I think I will go with a lavendar or very pale yellow in her room. Pink is nice, but I think one of those two would be a bit easier for when she gets older and gets over the pink stage. They have the cutest little butteryfly applique's at WalMart that I am going to put up (stiatic cling so they can come down easily), and I am going to get some gauzy fabric to hang from the ceiling to give the effect of a canopy type bed until she is old enough for the canopy bed she saw at the furniture store and fell in love with. We'll set up her dolly day care in there and of course she'll have all her dora dolls out.
Then there is Aiden's room/the nursery which I'm still undecided on. I like the idea of mint green for the nursery, but it'll be so long before he even really cares.
