Today (day ahead in Canada) we learn that Jana is Carmen's killer and the granddaughter of a Czech jeweller who was forced by the Nazis to carve the inscription on the reliquary, and then killed. The man helping Jana, the guy who placed the phone call about the bug being removed from the Carlton's, is Jana's father and her accomplice. They are after the meaning of the inscription in order to retrieve billions worth of treasure hidden by the Nazis in Kutna Hora. Carmen was just in the wrong place at the wrong time as she saw Jana with the portfolio that had been stolen from Victoria's car.
Dru continues in her downward spiral of seeming madness. She has several people concerned that she has truly lost her mind.
Jana's plan is that Kevin will lock Colleen in the fridge, then burn the building down. Colleen asks how is it that Kevin is going to die, and Jana says that Kevin will lock himself in the fridge too, by mistake. Jana's not holding up very well as she admits that she really did/does love Kevin.
This is a fairly good episode as it wraps up several loose ends. There's Brad and Victoria stuff, Niki being an unbelievable bitch to Sharon and some strange Nick and Sharon moments, especially when Nick gives Sharon an anniversary present that looks like a Lladro figurine of a mother and daughter.
In a preview we see Kevin and Colleen still locked up in the refreigerator room with smoke billowing in at them.
aww...Poor Kevin. I was hoping that he would have better luck this time. Though I guess we always knew something was wrong with that girl. And at least that means that Adrian is okay. Wanna bet that he rescues Colleen and Brad will have to eat crow for all he said about the man.
Brad eating crow - YEAH!!! This is the outcome I've been cheering for all along. I read somewhere (I look for spoilers all over the place, lol) that Korbell and JT save Colleen and Kevin, but somebody needs to have surgery afterwards. There's a new surgeon, bit player, coming in for a couple of days soon.
See, this is what I expect from a decent soap. I'm cheering because there's a completion to the story and the characters I like haven't been destroyed in the process (note what happened to Tad on AMC when he was made a torturer/murderer, ugh). I understand that some viewers don't like Colleen and Korbell as a couple, but I always have, in spite of my mild dislike for Colleen. And Brad has always rubbed me the wrong way, anyway, lol. It's a bit sad that Janna's getting written out because I liked her kookiness, but better she go than Adrian Korbell, who has really grown on me in the last few months.
I actually do like Colleen and Korbel too, much more the Colleen and JT. They bore me to tears. I like that Korbel is gonna be cleared. I just wish that it wasnt at Kevin's expense. I know that Kevin is a bad guy but I still like him
I like Kevin, too. I think he's been pretty nicely redeemed by the writing, so I won't apologise for liking the guy. Besdies, the actor is really good.
