Thanks for sharing! Having gone through a cancer scare a few months ago, I can honestly say that we can all learn from this man's attitude.
I can honestly say that I have re-thought some priorites, done some re-evaluation and plan to make a few healthy productive changes..... Funny what being faced with your own mortality can do to you!
This got me to thinking, you know my Uncle had passed away in September, and he was a great guy in general. But he would always be too busy to go out to breakfast or lunch. I would call him up, he was retired and his daughter was in school (same age as my Ryan) and I'd say hey let's meet up. And he's say "I have to wash dishes!"
He wife was really lazy so I could understand housework ya know, but dishes can wait an extra hour. And they only take 10 minutes.
He was better than some of my family members though, they don't show up for any parties I throw, At least Uncle Bob would come around for that.
Anyway, the moral of the story: There will always be dishes to do, don't let it stop you from meeting up with someone!!
there is actually a good country song called "Live Like You Were Dying" thats what this reminded me of. Did either of you read his website. I havent yet but will when I get home.
