More to Zoe/Zarf

I got this from someone on my myspace. So I dont know for sure how accurate it is. We can hope right...

On March 9th, AMC will take another step in its controversial trans-gender storyline. Fans will see the character of Zarf/Zoe attend a support group for trans-genders as he begins taking the first steps of possibly making the transition from male to female. Adding a dose of reality tv, six members of the trans-gender community are scheduled to play unscripted scenes in which they discuss their own experiences.

Playing the role of the support leader is Jennifer Boylan, a best selling author for her memoir "She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders" and "She's Not There". A teacher at Colby College in Maine, she also spends her time on the lecture circuit. She has appeared three times on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Born James Boylan, she went on to get married and have children, before concluding she could not live as a male. She underwent the sex-change operation in 2001.

and she gets a mom

Broadway performer Becky Ann Baker has been cast to play Zarf/Zoe's mother in a recurring role on "All My Children". Her first appearance is slated for March 28th.

On top of bit roles in theatrical releases and tv series, including "War Of The Worlds" (a disaster relief volunteer) and "Law & Order", Baker starred in the Tony award-winning Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's "Assasins" as Sara Jane Moore. Her Broadway debut came in the 1978 production of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".

An accomplished actress, her part in the movie "A Simple Plan" received a Blockbuster Video Award Nomination. In 1994 she received a Drama Logue award for her work in "Night And Her Stars".

The Knox, Kentucky product currently resides in New York with her husband, Dylan, and daughter. Baker founded The Drama Department, a New York based theater company.

i can't wait for this stuff to happen...and i do believe it's all been confirmed.

i think the support group scenes will be great!!! maybe help some of the lugheads on other sites to understand more about transgenders....tho they'll probably ff through the whole thing.

i can't remember if zoe ~~~ when she talked about her family to bianca ~~~ said much about how her mother reacted. i do remember that dad was extremely unaccepting & negative. anyone remember??

I look forward to the support group think cause it said it was unscripted, that means the writers cant screw it up. And I think you were right, Dad was unaccepting. Dont know much about mom, will find out soon I guess

Hmmm, this should be very interesting. At least they're going in a unique direction with this.
