Mattson: It's Janet [from All My Children], Gina [from Santa Barbara] and Heather [from General Hospital]. I would say it's most often Janet. More often than not, it's a very warm and pleasant thing when people come up and say hello, because they feel like they know you. They usually call me "Janet From Another Planet" and they think I have an explanation of why Kate Collins came back as Janet. I don't.
TVGuide.com: You played Janet after the character had drastic plastic surgery, so it is strange that Kate Collins is playing the role again, as if that never happened! Mattson: I'm not talking about that.
TVGuide.com: OK... Your fans just miss seeing you play a bad girl. You were such fun as "Mean Janet Green," but in your last few years on AMC, Janet was so normal and sane. Mattson: [Laughs] I went, "You're not really putting me in that apron and making me bake cookies, are you?" That's just not me!
